I've seen them on large trucks. I've only ever used them on one vehicle, a 2003 Goldwing. They made my ride smooth as silk from 0-100.

Mine is just a piece of plastic. Exactly 1" wide. Wraps around the at the bottom.

The power steering is on that side. It  could make a noise like that and get quieter as fluid circulates. Get a stethoscope and listen near the pulley while it's noisy. (I hope I don't have to say NOT to put it ON the pulley. Lol)

Idk if a water pump will make a "shrill whistling" noise, but I do know an idler pulley that's on its way out, will. I had one going out on a '19 Hemi that sounded like a supercharger. Lol

Looks like a front Dana 30 to me.

Unless you don't have an A/C in your vehicle...like back in the 60's when they left power robbing items out of the engine bay... but then you wouldn't have an A/C drain. Lol

I drove it again today, after my transfer and transmission fluids changes. I used MT85 instead of MTL. Love it

For the 10 months that I've owned this Jeep, I've had to watch out for splash-back when I filled up bc I didn't want to have to fix it yet. Would this be a bad time to say that my last three fill ups it has worked flawlessly? 👹😅

Lately, I've been taking mine out to see the falls colors. It's the last few days of my vacation and I'm trying to make the most of them. Today I changed my transfer and transmission fluids. Valvoline and Redline.

Since this thread got a refresh, I have a question. I've read through several threads and found that everybody who uses Redline, uses either MTL or MT-90, usually for reasons of the climate they live in or transmission specs. Has anyone on here tried the MT85? I've not seen any mentions of it...

I recently replaced mine with a Denso. It is a very good brand and recommended on here by quite a few people. Mine fit perfectly and works great.

Kinda hard to decifer through a phone, but to me it sounds like it needs some pag oil...IMHO.
