    Re-gearing cost / advice

I've seen some crazy prices here in Colorado that line up with OP's original quote. However, I had both my axles Re-Geared PLUS rear ARB Locker installed for about $2700 out the door. For re-gearing alone, my preferred shop only charges $1700 on the Jeep Wrangler platform. (Evolution Offroad in...

    Replacing stereo in 2006 TJ

Most of the "plug and play" harnesses available for the TJ platform will require some splicing to be utilized with aftermarket equipment. The Plug & Play is true, for the factory harness side ONLY. But for most plugs, it's just a pig-tail for you to then splice into your new head unit harness...

    Is my exhaust too close?

When it comes to clearance issues, they're pretty self explanatory.. If it hits, there's not enough. If it doesn't hit, there's enough. :ROFLMAO: Seriously though, cycle the suspension. It'll either hit or it won't. That will be your answer.

Looking for Input on Lowering TJ and/or Getting Smaller Tires

You'll likely NOT notice any difference between a 3" lift and your current 3.5" lift. That's where you need to make the decision on whether you want to lower the TJ or not. IF that answer is still yes, look in the range of 2" springs/shocks. At least then you'll be spending the money and...

Looking to buy this 98 4.0

That'd be a HARD PASS from me. That looks like someone elses problem. No need to pay $9,000 and make it your problem, especially when there are actual good TJ's on the market for the same price.

    Colorado Daily-Driven Trail Warrior V2 - 2006 LJ

6' 1" :ROFLMAO: My issue with the factory sun-visors is that they are so awkwardly shaped, with no option as far as adjustment is concerned. (no option to extend/lengthen etc) So unless the sun is directly in front of you, I find them to be useless. The new tint-strip works 100% of the time...

    Whats my Jeep worth?

I actually just went through the same process with my Sahara. Similar mods. I decided that swapping my parts over to my LJ, and selling the TJ stock would save me more $$ in the long run. Sold the TJ in Stock configuration with 140k miles for $9,000. IF that were my TJ and mods, I'd list at...

    Whats my Jeep worth?

TJ pricing is honestly too far-fetched to give an accurate number. Someone could tell you $13k and someone could tell you $9k, with neither being incorrect. Price it at a number that is comfortable for you, and a number YOU want to sell it at.

What subwoofer setups do you guys have?

Sure, It definitely takes up majority of the space available. When I still had the TJ, I would regularly remove the subwoofers if I needed the space. That in itself was somewhat irritating. In my current LJ, it's not as much of an issue.

    04 LJ pricing help

I'm actually surprised you've had issues selling at that price.. Although something I started doing on Facebook Marketplace, a lot of times when I sell a vehicle I go DEEP into the description. I pretend I am selling vehicles to my grandma, and word the description in a way that "non-Jeep"...

What subwoofer setups do you guys have?

I like a NICE sounding audio system. My original intentions were to install a powered subwoofer, but I chose not to and instead install something that could be heard with or without the top, in various situations. Powered Subwoofers are great if your intended purpose is to have a little bit of...

    Colorado Daily-Driven Trail Warrior V2 - 2006 LJ

Funny you mention that. When I pulled it during the Transmission Swap on my TJ, I actually found the top two easier to get from the interior as well. Long ass extension and a wobble socket made quick work of them.:ROFLMAO:

    Colorado Daily-Driven Trail Warrior V2 - 2006 LJ

I've got some large 12-ton Jackstands that I use under the frame. Bought them when I did my axle swaps. They've got a maximum safe working limit of 29". If you take those same stands and put them underneath the axles, instead of under the frame, I can put the belly of the Jeep up about 40" off...

Needing Advice on New Front Bearing / U-Joint / Ball Joint Issues

I'll take my lashings, and know to do it correctly the next time. On the honest front, this could've been avoided had I actually read the packaging, rather than getting excited and tearing them apart to install. Worst case scenario, I killed the Joints by a few thousand miles. The good part...

    Colorado Daily-Driven Trail Warrior V2 - 2006 LJ

Sure thing! I don't mind pulling it. From what I remember when doing the AX-15 swap, the transfer case was out in about 30 minutes. I had some complications with my last T-Case and had to clock the housing with a jig, but other than that it was a fairly easy pull/install. With the SYE being...

    Colorado Daily-Driven Trail Warrior V2 - 2006 LJ

I guess my biggest question. I've removed the Transfer case in the past when I did my AX-15 Swap on the TJ. Would the SYE be easier to manage with the Transfer Case out of the Jeep, or is it even worth pulling out for the job?

On another note. This got delivered today. SYE is set to be delivered tomorrow. I know next to nothing when it comes to SYE installation, and honestly watching videos the task looks daunting. Transmission/Transfer Case Internals have always been my Achilles Heel. Something about a lot of...

Jeep stalls in first and reverse

Your issue is going to need a bit more explanation. Does it want to stall from a stop, or while moving? What are your RPM's when it wants to stall. (is your engine bogging, or is your clutch slipping) I guess what I'm getting at here, if you're on large tires, and you're improperly geared, I...

Needing Advice on New Front Bearing / U-Joint / Ball Joint Issues

Following common suit, @mrblaine is correct. There are instructions/warnings printed. However there is NOT a paper in the box, since Spicer has apparently moved to printing this onto the C-Clip packaging. My question at this point. How imperative is this process? I'd like to hear it...
