I always wanted one of those Citizen Blue Angels but the size seemed daunting.

    Daily Driver Dilemma

I’ve considered finding the wife a lower mileage one and keep driving this one. This one is about 95% rust free. Id venture to guess there is a lot more rusty 2023’s driving around than this one. Funny, I actually am considering picking up an early 2000’s Chevy 2500 for similar reasons...

    Daily Driver Dilemma

I think I have severe mental issues. My wife drives about 18,000 miles a year. When my duramax blew head gaskets I sold it to a friend. I then bought a half ton hemi ram for my wife to drive as we wanted/need a truck. She likes all the features but is tired of the truck. She is now back to...

Help with a Camillus M3 knife

There’s a lot of research to be done there. It ranges from anything is better than nothing to don’t ever put anything on it as its lasted this long and will last best with no oil. I oil the metal and leave the handles on my stuff.

Help with a Camillus M3 knife

Understood, for that sake I would put your favorite gun oil on the metal and your favorite boot oil on the handle and call it good if you want to hang onto it. It’s a great piece of ww2 history and your value range is probably reasonable even as is. The market has softened some in the past...

Help with a Camillus M3 knife

That is a rare knife. A lot of M3’s don’t have the M3 and manufacture stamped in them anymore. I am not certain the appropriate conditioning method but you absolutely don’t want to restore it for value sake, you simply want to help preserve it. Now for some people value is not everything. If...

    OME 2.5" lift in progress!

I didn’t realize with the engine mounts I used for my v8 swap a body lift is required. In reality it worked fine until I tried to add AC.

    OME 2.5" lift in progress!

32” are probably the “ideal” size for that lift. Im on 33’s and will probably be adding a BL for other reasons too…

    SOLD 2006 4.0 and NSG370

This one isn’t nearly as sporty and fun to shift as a T56 or other sports car transmission but I really haven’t had any issues with it. It is far better to shift than the NV4500 I had. I strongly would have considered running it with the 4.8 swap if the adapters were still available. I...

    Anyone into knives?

Ebay does not allow the sale of authentic trench knives for some reason, only chinese copies. This one popped up early AM for cheap with awful photos. I took a chance on it, it was way more rough than anticipated (the blade that is currently with the handle did not come with it). Risks we...

    Complain about your daily driver

Tacoma TRD Off Road oem front suspension (Bilsteins) are a direct bolt up to your 4runner. I am very happy with them on my 2007 (they fit 5th gens too). The 4runners are so soft and weird to drive stock. Bilsteins or similar are a requirement.

    LS swap update and questions

Sorry, late to the game. My stock 4.8 is exactly what the Jeep should have come with. It’s sufficient, but it’s not fast or thrilling by any means. I don’t really know that I am happy I chose the 4L60.

    4.8 Swap LJ

A few non personal photos of the trip. The 4Runner is rock solid, but not ideal for this, though neither is the LJ. I actually am glad I took the 4Runner though the LJ would have been way more cool, there are other potential fits for the LJ though, lot of thinking ahead.

    4.8 Swap LJ

Trip to Colorado and Moab completed. 1/4 million mile 4Runner was almost flawless (small insignificant issues). Now time to think of what I want from this LJ. The trip was a little enlightening to some goals.

Thoughts on this RV travel trailer?

A little later to the party, I like my Intech for the most part. They make models that are taller, taller and longer, etc. It’s fit and finish isn’t phenomenal but I really like that it’s an aluminum chassis and has an aluminum “cage”. If you have other uses for it, any thoughts on a car...

    4.8 Swap LJ

I absolutely get it on all accounts, mine would be a 30 year build if it wasn’t a 4+ month. I’m young so I’m always soft haha. I don’t envy that time you spent! Thanks….

    4.8 Swap LJ

You’ve lived without for over 2/3 of my life🤣 I absolutely get it though. I don’t function correctly so I have to do stupid stuff to get stuff done, I could never do a long term build which is a huge negative as I sacrifice things. If it weren’t for my son I’m not sure I’d be worried at all...
