Newer cars will use an oil temp sensor to monitor how fast the oil comes up to temperature as part of the calculation. I would also assume mileage, idle hours and constant driving vs stop and go.

Use penetrating fluid for removal or heat each bolt if you think the will break. Map gas torch works decent. I made a trans support to hold everything up, made life so much easier for doing that task. I ended up building a separate crossmember

Mac, is that from the tank to the frame rail? It was not clear in any of the descriptions. One way to fix it would be flair the metal tube and use some fuel injection hose with barbed fittings and the correct clamps?
