Is your backlash the same in 4 quadrants? Watching the ring gear wobble in your video makes me ask.

I guess it depends on the fan, but to me, on the highway the fan is probably less annoying than at walking speed on a trail with the top off. Another example, when my 5.0 Mustang is just idling it has a nice burble and minimal mechanical noise. Then it becomes less pleasant when the fan kicks on.

If If it fits, I'd use a mechanical fan with a clutch because 1) more reliable than electric fan 2) less noise than no clutch.

No joke. I did new gears in the AAM 11.5 in my Dodge a couple of years ago. Carrier and ring gear were something like 75#!

Sorry about your crash. Doesn't look terrible in your pic. As others have said, if you need new cats, they need to be CARB approved and will be expensive. If your cats are OK, re-using them will be much cheaper. Why do you need new exhaust and which part(s) specifically?
