I've got that long ranger tank. The tank itself is well made. The other parts not so much. I got it installed in a shop and they used a jerry can to fill it up the first time. When I went to the petrol station to fill up, it took me half an hour to get about 40l into a system that should take...

It did work, I can fill up the tanks. However, it takes some patience. The hose to the aux tank runs horizontally over the rear axle and that's a slow process. A separate filler neck would be better, but there is nowhere room for the hose.

I thought I should get a new car stereo and had a look how it's connected today. Unfortunately the PO left quite a mess: It looks like they simply cut the original plug and soldered on one fitting the stereo. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Do you have pictures that show how it should be...

I wasn't really happy with my (too rustic) solution. the wooden support was in the way each time I opened the tailgate. My first idea was to get a card table stay but these things are flimsy af. So I made one myself today: Made from a 6x50mm aluminium flat bar that I cut in half.

I managed to get everything wired up today. That tap-fuse thingamabob worked like a charm. I picked fuse 6, the rear wiper: Amazing that the fuse is wired up, my car came with a soft-top only from factory.

I routed it through the center console right to the dashboard. I'm getting one of these today: I hope I can find a suitable fuse for that.

I'm almost there with the wiring for my aux battery. There is only one wire where I can't find a suitable one to connect to: That's the thin, blue wire in the image. It's supposed to go to a positive wire controlled by the cars ignition. I thought easy, just grab it from the cigarette lighter...
