    Eaton E-Locker Anti-Rotation Bracket Play

So the old stator with the broken tabs is shot. Something came apart internally when the wires got yanked. Welding the tabs back on won't help. 😕 I considered adding weld to the new stator, in an effort to reinforce the tabs. I hesitate though because I'm concerned about the heat. It appears...

    Eaton E-Locker Anti-Rotation Bracket Play

I recently called Eaton to find out what the suggested amount of rotational free play was supposed to be for the stator. The tech told me .063" min. to .125" max. He also mentioned that this range is critical to keep the tabs from breaking off. He explained that if the stator is allowed to...

    2.5 turbo build

Hey Wildman, the OP is still around - just not hanging out on this forum much anymore. And his rig has changed a bit since the last time he was here... Needless to say, fuel economy isn't exactly a major concern!:ROFLMAO:

    Tworley build

I had the same trouble with my tailgate a few years ago. As much as I really liked the High Rock tire carrier, it just created too many issues when I was wheeling the tougher rock trails. I liberated my tailgate and swapped my spare tire over to my trailer. I just bolted my old OE spare tire...

Dana 35, 32's, upgraded 27 spline axles, truetrac

Getting better tires will be a huge advantage off road. Not sure you need to go larger though? I get it, it looks stupid with a huge lift, yeah we've all been there. Why not just remove the lift? Stick with the 29s, save you money not having to regear. I'll bet you can find some used stock...

What are your reasons for the upgrades? Just looking to regain street/ highway performance? Does your Jeep get off road? If so, what type of terrain/ obstacles?

Keep in mind that those ECG shafts with the larger joints are also 30-spline. I also ran across these on sale. I don't have any experience with them personally, just seemed like a pretty decent deal. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D61DQ92/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I haven't had a new wheel or tire in a few years. The 35" KM3s are still still doing well. I suppose I'm due for some new shoes.

    Heater core recommendation?

This is what I used to wrap around the heater core. Worked pretty well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PYWT92G/?tag=wranglerorg-20 I also replaced the foam panel on the firewall that envelopes the heater and AC lines with this. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092QV1X6H/?tag=wranglerorg-20

    Heater core recommendation?

As long as everything comes apart ok, you should be good with just the heater core. If you're looking for other maintenance items to do while it's apart you might consider heater hoses, AC lines, or the evaporator core.

    Leaky Heater Core Question

I really hope you're kidding about this idea. lol It's really not that bad of a job to replace the core. If you're like most of us on here, you'll have the pleasure of doing the job more than once. You'll find that it gets easier each time you do it. (y)
