A fun week at Buena Vista, CO.

Group of about 40 jeepers from various parts of US met up in BV for a week of wheeling all over. We picked several different trails to run so each group was small (5-10) jeeps and got to see many different areas. We stayed at Snowy Peaks RV park which was nice, reasonably priced and at the upper...

Video on how Jeeps are made

Hi and I came across this 20 minute video by National Geographic showing the production process of building jeeps... Interesting video and funny watching while thinking of all the stuff jeepers change, remove or replace ourselves.

Has anyone installed a Derale D20161 electric cooling fan kit?

Hi and wondering if anyone has installed electric fan setup in a 2004-2206 TJ I6. We do a lot of desert & rock crawling and looking to help keep the temps down. They are a bit expensive but do come with all pieces and offer a ‘plug-n-play’ replacement over the belt fan solution. I’ve read a few...

ARB locker in Dana 44 is not doing well

Hi and after my last wheeling trip in the LJ I just picked up, the front ARB Dana 44 30spline started clunking. It is primarily during left turn or as video shows, when turning passenger wheel. I believe it's a dr117 or possibly 116 but previous owner didn't install it and no paperwork. My research...

How can I re-inflate a tire on the trail after losing a bead?

I enjoyed the thread "What have you broken on the trail?" This got me thinking about how to recover on the trail if your tire loses its bead but otherwise ok. I carry ratchet straps, a air compressor from HF and a can of flatfix and a good set of tools. I could try cinching the tire to rim as...

Clicking noise / feel from power supply

Hi and I noticed a new clicking / tapping while I was checking fluids this week while steering wheel is centered and not being moved. It is not heard from within the cab area so not too loud and click occurs once every few seconds like clockwork. I traced to the power steering pump and...

    Dish pan

Hi and sadly no pics but wife and I went to big Bear, had a great time, met fellow jeepers who were all having a good time wheeling and we did 3n34 from 3n16 west to the end. We tagged along with another group who were very open and helpful and we all had a great time. Going down the second rock...
