    Our local mountain

Our local mountain is Mt. Hauchuca. We're having 70+ degree weather for the next few weeks here South East Arizona. The local Forestry service closes the road up on the 15th of December until March to the FUBARS from needing rescued. I decided to take a ride up yesterday before they close the...

    A day to myself

I've been taking down our 5 year old pool and hauling it off. Decided to do a me day. Went exploring over at the Santa Rita Mountains today. Did a little target shooting up in a little draw. The target is my new Super wrangler 22mag on the left and my TX22 on the right.

    Dragoon mountains south end

Re-visited a trail I posted about earlier in the year. My YJ buddy and his brother from Maine tagged along. It made it to 96 today, not much of a breeze to speak of. This trail is east of Tombstone going south off of Middlemarsh road. Looking west back towards Tombstone.

    2006 TJ

If anyone is interested in looking it up, I can't seem to figure out how to link it. There's a 2006 TJ built up at our local Ed Morse Chevrolet GMC dealer in Sierra Vista az. Under used cars, there's only 2 Jeeps. I think it has 124,000 miles on it 🤔

Arizona 2005 TJR rear seat $350

I haven't used my rear seat for several years and it's just taking up garage space. It's just collecting dust. No rips or tares, or stains in the upholstery. I also have all of the hardware to bolt it to floor of the jeep. I will be posting it on Craigslist also. $350

    Patagonia, Arizona

Did a awesome forestry road today, north out of Patagonia today. Nothing serious, mostly cobally and rough. Some narrow stuff and threw some small oak trees. Saw a small area of Hoodoo's. All fun and games until a border patrol truck comes along and you have to back up a hundred yards on a very...

Cochise County Sheriff's fund raiser ride

I did a fund raiser ride yesterday. There was probably 30 Jeeps or so and that many UTV'S. The off-road course went South up and over Montazuma pass and along the western slope of Mount Hauchuca. I've done this trip many times on my own and know most of the trails on the west side of the...

    Update on my QT40 install

When I decided to install a Radioddity QT40 10 meter radio, I decided to replace the coaxial and antenna to try and make the existing connections better. I bought a combo kit from Walcott and I thought the 3' antenna would suffice. Well, channel 40 swr ended at 2.5 or more and the radio just...

    Radioddity QT80 radio

I maybe cazy, or just bored. I have posted about my upcoming replacement hip surgery, which is finally tomorrow. I decided to buy a Radioddity qt80 cb/lsb/usb/10 meter radio to install in my truck. It can be easily opened up to 11,12 and 15 meters also. During my recovery I'm going to study for...

    2nd hip replacement

After posting in the good news thread about my new part time job I just found, I'm now looking at having to have my left hip replaced again after roughly 27 years. Riding in the truck brought up some issues that I had been having with it. I'm now awaiting a appointment with a Orthopedic surgeon...

Revisiting the east side of the Whetstone mountains

Got to do some exploring by myself today. My buddies YJ is having electrical problems. A few miles south of Kerchner caverns, there's a big hole in the ground that makes a great gun range. I have been planning to go back to this area and explore more trails and today worked out. I ended up at...

    Death wobble again

Went wheeling today in one of my favorite places, Las Cienegas NCA near Sonoita, Arizona. Had a great day and will post some videos in the wheeling forum. I had death wobble a couple of months ago coming home from the same area and eventually got my tires rotated and balanced to see if it would...

We will be pulling our travel trailer and the sisters-in-law will be following in their camper van. We will have GMRS radios for comms between us and of course cell phones. This will be...

    Parker Canyon Lake, Arizona

Got a Sunday to myself and went exploring South of Parker Canyon Lake. This area is in the Coronado National Forest. Also just for shits and giggles, my jeep decided to give me my first taste of the death wobble on the way home . First time after 6 jeeps.

Is this the going price for a clean backseat?

I'm thinking about selling my TJR backseat. My jeep is mostly a trail rig for me and I'm planning on setting up the back for camping and overlanding equipment. I found one for sale in the Las Vegas CL for $700. Is this the going price for a very clean backseat? Appreciate any feedback.

    Exploring the Dragoons

Went to the Dragoons again and really enjoy thinking about the history of the area while I'm there. It's where the Apache Chief Cochise is buried. Went to the council rock area and then up to the Middlemarch pass found an abandoned 750 BMW blocking a trail. Thought about using my winch to move...

    Towing equipment

I picked up a Blue Ox towing base plate and Blue Ox tow bar off Craigslist today. They came off of a 05 TJ, which I have. I would like to ask, when flat towing your TJ, what brake system are you using? I will be towing it with my 1500 Ram Big Horn.

    Duck rated

The wife and I stopped to have dinner at Applebees Saturday night and I stepped out of my truck next to a JK or JL. Wasn't really paying attention to the year of the jeep. I had to take this picture though, and wished I had payed more attention to the angry grill and lights that I saw from my...
