    Bridge collapsed

@Apparition Thanks very much for your really great, complete, and informative posts above, they are by far the best I've seen documenting this tragedy. I've gone after a few conspiracists on FB making wild claims about this tragic event, some of their claims are just nuts.

How do I fix a malfunctioning fog light?

Impossible to know without seeing it. I've repaired bulb sockets but not all can be repaired. I'd take it out and examine it... you might find something very obvious.

How do I fix a malfunctioning fog light?

The problem sure sounds like it's in the bulb socket itself. I'd give it a close examination, especially inside where the bulb seats.

4.5" Rubicon Express long arm kit rides rough

My suggested tire pressures assumed a Load Range C tire which is correct for the TJ's weight. Could you be running a stiffer D or E load range tire?

4.5" Rubicon Express long arm kit rides rough

The RE Monotubes ride ok on the street but they are TERRIBLE (!!!!) offroad. I installed a 4.5" RE longarm onto my previous TJ with their Monotubes and I had to slow down to 2-3 mph offroad on dirt roads due to them being unable to maintain control at normal dirt road speeds. Guys in my offroad...

Any suggestions on what type of oil to use on a 97 Wrangler with 205k miles?

X2, 30 weight engine oil would be a bad choice anywhere where it gets cold. Go with a multi-weight like a 10W-30 which is 10 in cold temperatures, 30 in warmer temperatures. And as old as our TJs have become, a High Mileage is always a good choice that is even ok in low mileage engines.

Where can I find a 2000 TJ factory printed manual?

There are several printed 2000 FSMs for sale at https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313&_nkw=2000+Wrangler+Factory+Service+Manual&_sacat=0 I cannot believe what some are charging for downloads that are free here! One asshole is asking $987.99 for a USED printed...

Tuffy glovebox just installed - my takeaways

Man I really miss my previous TJ's Tuffy glove box after getting into this thread. It really makes me want to install another.

Any suggestions on what type of oil to use on a 97 Wrangler with 205k miles?

X2 on the recommendations for a High Mileage 10W-30 conventional engine oil, it'll help keep your seals leak-free... especially the rear main seal which is well known to leak. As above a conventional High Mileage 10W-30 may not be in all auto parts stores but it's sold on Amazon and in most...

The required tire balance quality is not affected by the wheelbase. 😊

Banks Turbo Tune in a Wranglerfix PCM

Kudos to @Wranglerfix for making this possible!

    Any opinions on this oil?

I'd wipe the magnet clean then rinse it all out good with aerosol brake cleaner and then bolt it back up. Remember to have the engine running while checking its ATF level while refilling it.

    Automatic to manual conversion

It's possible though we need to know more about your Jeep like its model year. Is there something wrong with the automatic or is a manual just more fun for you? I went the other way, swapping my previous TJ from its original 5-speed to an automatic. My 5-speed was fun on the street but it...

Tuffy glovebox just installed - my takeaways

I like that but after having had my earlier TJ stolen I've always been wary of leaving it inside, I carry mine 99.9% of the time. I think I should reconsider something like that, there are times I need to go into a building like my VA clinic where I can't carry. I have to lock it up in my Tuffy...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Discount Tire has a great reputation for small car-size tires but in my personal experience they're not great with big Jeep-size tires. I took my TJ with its 35's (purchased from them) to get rebalanced after they started hinting at DW. It I had to go back to the store twice more that day for a...

04 TJ 4.0 manual transmission Radiator

Denso is a good quality replacement. Widen your search to include those for automatic transmissions which only include a couple extra fittings at the bottom for use by an automatic. They work just as well for those with manual transmissions. Their bottom transmission core is completely...

Black Magic 16" Big Brake Kit (install)

Yeah that airplane with its V12 Merlin engine has GOBS of torque and if you're not on and good with the rudder pedals and ailerons during an aggressive takeoff it'll do just that. :(

Black Magic 16" Big Brake Kit (install)

Makes sense. Flyable P51 Mustangs are going for north of $2M. I read sometime back that Tom Cruise's P51 is worth nearly $5M due to its extraordinary condition.

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

Good plan to check the front-end again. I doubt a loose lock nut on the track bar length adjustment could be a contributor, my bet is that shop just really screwed up the tire balance. I'd take it to a tire store or 4x4 shop that sells and installs big tires that is used to balancing them, few...
