Oil pressure loss and dipstick reading high

2000 and 2001 TJs had the 0331 head, later (2002 or so) came the better/stronger TUPY version of the 0331 head. I doubt yours will say TUPY but if it's there you should be able to see it by looking down through the oil fill hole on the valve cover.

    Champion 7412 vs 7034?

We checked the lighthouse out yesterday too, pretty cool. There are some amazing small beautifully constructed small wooden boats on display once you pay the admittance fee. I didn't even bother trying to climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse, those days are over for me. :eek...

    Champion 7412 vs 7034?

By the way I was down in the touristy areas of St. Augustine where you live yesterday with my wife & her friend, damn the traffic was frigging out of control there lol. We did enjoy ourselves, we even found an "antique" store on N. Ponce De Leon that is more about sunken treasure taken off old...

    Champion 7412 vs 7034?

Either would be fine, both are double-platinums. Personally I have been running Autolite's XP-985 iridium plugs for 15+ years. They were tested at 200k miles by Autolite with an electron scanning microscope and no wear or erosion could be seen. Champion also has suitable good suitable iridium...

Oil pressure loss and dipstick reading high

Oh no that's very scary sounding. I suspect your crankcase is full of coolant.

    OBDII Scanner Options

That's the same scanner I've been using 5-6 years and works very well, I believe it would work well for you too. And welcome to the forum, it's good to have you as a new member!

    Champion 7412 vs 7034?

They're very similar. For a while I wasn't finding 7034 plugs and was told the 7412 replaced it but I'm now seeing 7034 plugs again.

Oil pressure loss and dipstick reading high

Pardon what may sound like a stupid question but could you have not wiped the dipstick off before reinserting it to check the oil during that stressful situation? Most oil pressure problems are nothing more than a bad oil pressure sender. If you replace it make sure to avoid cheap store brands...

Narrow front & rear bumpers with winch mount?

Most aftermarket bumpers are now made in China. The following link is for an American manufacturer I bought my last two bumpers from and their stuff is high quality, strong, and priced competitively with the cheap junk. https://www.thedirtworx.com/shop And a winch mount easily mounts with most...

I need some clarification on differentials

Great decision on both installing a Super 35 and for getting it from Revolution Gear. Your Dana 35 came from the factory with carbon steel 27 spline axle shafts which have a small diameter. The Super 35 kit includes larger diameter 30 spline axle shafts (and new bearings etc.) that are made...

Aluminum pedal covers for manual transmission

Personally I'd rather have the better non-slip surface of all rubber.

    Transmission overheating

The Durango alternator, AGM battery and new battery cables would have nothing to do with your problem. I already suggested it could be a solenoid/valve issue inside the valve body or something else to do with the valve body in post #20 above.

Wrangler TJ Fluid Capacities & Fluid Recommendations

It's unlikely you need more. Nearly all GL5 gear lubes used in our axles already contain enough friction modifier. If it's there the gear lube's rear label will say something like 'Compatible with limited slip differentials.' Adding more would not be beneficial.

    Tuffy 047-01 Speaker Install

The factory wire size is more than up to the job, no need to worry about that. When wiring speakers the two speaker lugs will somehow be identified as to their polarity with either a + or - or have a bit of red on it indicating the + side of the speaker connections. Below are the wire colors...

    P0301, P0304, P0300

Because their contacts eventually wear out and you should check their condition. Pull the distributor cap off and look inside it and at the rotor which sits under the cap.

    2001 TJ Automatic Slipping

I guess adding the half-quart of ATF wasn't quite enough. Has anyone ever messed with its TV (kickdown) cable adjustment? If it was and if it was adjusted too tightly it would cause upshift problems. Its adjustment is correct when that cable is just taut without actually pulling when not...

Rattle noise from front left wheel at speeds over 40 mph

Well heck that's too bad, I'd go ahead with the above suggested removal of the front driveshaft. Or instead of actually removing it entirely which is a PITA at its rear connection, just unbolt it from the front axle and zip-tie or tie it up securely so it can't fall down and drive it around.

Rattle noise from front left wheel at speeds over 40 mph

Check your driver's side sheet metal brake shield to make sure it's not loose or bent which can cause rattling and/or screeching sounds.

    Tuffy 047-01 Speaker Install

Ok down to specifics. Your front speakers are oval-shaped 4x6", I would convert them to 5.25" round which will sound better using a 4x6 to 5.25" adapter plate like at https://www.amazon.com/Wrangler-Unlimited-Electroplated-1997-2006-Aftermarket/dp/B009DHE462/?tag=wranglerorg-20 The sound bar...
