Here's a little two-relay setup that I put together for halo headlights in a CJ-8. The main power source came from the factory circuit. In this case, there was no need for an additional fuse/s like you would probably need, but the setup could still be very similar and minimal.

I was wrong about part of this. What I had the dealership do was a PCM flash from this TSB, so now Bill's suggestion sounds even more like it will be the one that pulls me out of this.

Right. I knew of that and heard of many going to the original and having success, but finding one now is the problem. Finding one a year and a half ago was a problem. Those were/are nearly worth their weight in gold. Did you read through the link to Bill's thread that Chris shared?

I'll get a video of it when it happens. I can't remember if the needle on the tach jumps or not, but rpms of the motor sure does. It's as if I'm continually pulling my foot off the pedal and pushing it back down, in a rhythmic pattern, and it won't stop until I take my foot off the throttle.
