Transmission cooler as a power steering cooler?

The general opinion of experts is PS fluid runs around 120 +-. The engine coolant 195++. Most of the coolers I see are tube and fin with 2 passes like a old school trans cooler. I think your better off just getting a PS cooler if you have problems or like a auto box trans, fluid changes with...

Rebuilt transmission not shifting out of first gear

I try not to be a dick and we all gotta start somewhere, we all did. Go to school, take a class at night, joint a club of knowledgeable folks. But....you want reliability and economy, buy a corolla. Buying a modded jeep or modding a jeep for street use is like buying a fat tire mountain bike...

Rebuilt transmission not shifting out of first gear

Along with a fan shroud add a real air filter if the K&N is still in there. No offence boss, but you have limited mechanical knowledge based off most your statements. I saw "piece of mind" on one of your responses. Thake the damn thing to a good mechanic and be done with your guessing games...

    WTB quality over price

Years ago we took a train ride to SD from the central coast. In those back tracks of America thru no mans land we passed a few of the parts rebuilders warehouses. One of the big Carb rebuilders who I cant recall the name of was of of them. That was the last time I bought rebuilt anything...

    WTB quality over price

Basically 95% of anything from China is substandard IMO. By todays standards good luck with that one rebuilding a Jeep . I personally will never buy anything from Crown, Omix, Procomp, Autozone, Quadratec, and some others that elude me at the moment.

Rebuilt transmission not shifting out of first gear

You likely just F'ed any warranty you might have received with the new trans dropping the pan and messing with it. Why? take the damn thing to the shop who did the work. Power loss, how about a FUBAR'ed torque converter maybe.

    Restore TJ or give up?

Learn to weld. Apparently the PO never did. ;) Its a jeep, so beat on it, use it, enjoy it, and then park it when you had enough. But if you've had enough then its time to go bye bye, no hard feelings. Your future and its finances are far more important.

    Aftermarket TPMS?

I drove my YJ all over including hour trips to town at 16 psi give or take. Never had a issue after years of that. But......I school the wife to look, feel and listen for odd handling as her Yota's 4runner are dead.

    Low compression sanity check

    Err...Valve is what I meant.

    Low compression sanity check

That sucks. Stuck lifter possibly and at this point what left to try besides a does of MMO in the oil pan. Im not a believer in such remedies but I did see it first hand on a spent 350 with sticking valves.

Lift / Level 2” Front Springs, 1.25” Rear Spacers

Keep in mind the recommended MFG tire pressure is typically the max load/psi pressure. For example we run our 04, 4runner 265's at 32 which is toyotas recommended pressure and tire size. The coopers themselves say inflate to 50. My F250's tires say max is 80, I run them at 45 and have for years...

Lift / Level 2” Front Springs, 1.25” Rear Spacers

You really should check the tire pressures. More than likely F stone set them to 35/40 psi or so. Go down to 26, it will ride better.

What happened to the Jeep wave?

Status symbol? Maybe in a Bentley or Ferrari. You want waves, buy a HD and dress up like a village peep, throw it on a trailer and head to Sturgis.

    Bigger oil filter

The wifes 07 4.0 Tacoma was like that. With a small apron with a nipple at the bottom a hose could be attached to or just shove a small coffee can under the nipple and drain the filter into it. Absolute brilliance unlike the 944 I once had that let the filters contents run all over the engine.

    New Lift, Bad Ride

Aren't his LCA's at a awful steep angle? For 2.5" of spring lift that looks abnormal. You only get so much drop before the top of the LCA hits the LCA bracket on the axle also. Id also check the shock number on the body to see if they in fact are the correct ones.

Front hubs / unit bearings—and maybe more

I personally avoid anything like the plague from Omix or Crown. I assume you quit driving it if its so bad its pulling to one side. Maybe you outta check its not a hung caliper, or you could just drive it till the wheel falls. Timken, SKF, FAG, OEM......anything but chinabombs. I didnt see what...

Im sure they weren't cheap but trail spares are nice. What brand of Joints are in them?

    U-Joint play

That isnt right IMO. Id hit up the mfg or shop you got them from and let them know for starters. If it was a D/S Id be pressing the caps in further to make sure the retainer clips are seated correctly.
