Pretty sure we had a thread on this last time it was for sale too...

Not really my cup of tea, but if the swap was done well, might be fun to "fix" the rest of it.

The seller bought this 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in 2019 and says he has spent $40,000 in upgrades, which reportedly pushes his total investment over the six-figure mark.

what? So he paid at least $60k for it...guessing the engine and axles were already done...so what did he spend $40k on? A Superlift 8" lift kit and a bunch of red paint?

Yeah, there were some obvious missunderstandings...like the LJ was required to make the engine fit? AFAIK, the LJ and TJ share the same engine bay...LOL

I don't know how long the 48RE is, but I figured maybe it was long enough that it ate too much into the already hilariously short TJ rear driveshaft. Especially with a supposedly 8" lift.

What isthis thing, it looks like they frame mounted the stabilizers on one side???

scroll through the pics... it changes! some pics it has red bumpers, some black, some it has black steps on the sides, others it doesnt...

I do like weird engine conversions like this, even though it probably isn't practical.

Dan McKeag with Dakota Customs did this swap. He was a friend of my dad's years ago in Minnesota. He was one of the first to Hemi swaps into the TJ and have them pass emissions. Dealers would have him do builds. The engine swaps are done well. The suspensions are always awful bolt on kits.
