Can anyone tell me where I can find the hard brake lines for my 2006 Unlimited Rubicon? I tried a SS set from Extreme that said it would fit (it didnt, rear line too short). So Im stuck looking for one...Im hoping the GURU's can point me in the right direction. I dont care if its steel, or Stainless...

If you’re referring to the lines from the axle T-block to the calipers, I believe that Crown is the only current source.

My apologies, I should of been more clear... I need all the hard lines including the ones you just provided. I just completed a frame swap and snapped most of the fittings due to rust.... so I need to replace all the hard lines.

I just called classic tubes, and they dont have a kit for the LJ ...they asked me to send them my OEM lines to duplicated them. I would do that as a last resort if I cant find pre-made lines

I also own an 06 LJR and about three years ago I tried to find replacement lines, but could not. Many people said they had them, but what they really had were the short, rubber lines. However, the '06 LJR doesn't use short rubber lines. The hard line is permanently connected to the flexible line that goes to the caliper. Let us know if you find them!

I'm assuming that the only difference between the tj and lj is the mid line running from the valve to the rear of the vehicle. I would buy the TJ Rubicon kit in regular steel and then bent my own mid line. I am also not much of a fan of Stainless lines. I have seen issues with them leaking.

At this point you would probably be better off to the buy the tool and make your own. The master cool swaging tool makes life easy. I had never made any lines in my life and was to work my thru the whole system of headlines, and made them out of stainless for corrosion protection.

I went through this same thing over the winter with my '44 swap. The lines were rusted, they broke at the flare nut etc. Everyone I called said they didn't have them for the '44, one place that said they did shipped me a set that didn't fit. I ended up buying pre-flared stock from NAPA & bending them myself.

Thanks for the heads up on Steel vs S.S

See the post above by AjRango... he found them by crown automotive, and are on amazon for about $30 each side.

For the rear Dana44 Axle, listed below are the OEM part numbers from the service parts manual for reference, along with links to where to get the parts.

For the Front Brake Lines, there are a variety of places to get the driver/passenger lines since the TJ/LJ are the same up front however the intermediate line that goes from the proportional valve to the rear axle T fitting was harder to find…turns out SSTUBES has the line available for the LJ in steel or S.S.

Could have sworn those are the same parts I ordered that didn’t work. The 44 hoses are crimped to the hardline, those parts are just the hoses by themselves which is why I had to bend my own lines.

If I were to make my own, what are the fitting type/thread size, and what size line to get? Might as well add it to the list. Links if you have them.

I found a post where Blaine described all the ports on the master cylinder. Or you can reuse the fittings that you have on the MC ( if you have them).

Verify but I think You will need a 10mm banjo fitting for the front calipers. You'll have to ck for rear. I used this (for jk brakes):

After that you decide your.own combo of fittings. I used all AN3 between master cyl and brake calipers. This was on guidance from Mrblaine. Stainless 3/16 tubing from summit. All fittings from summit and were delivered in 2 days.
With the master cool tool I have had zero leaks.

Inline tube is who I used, based on recommendation from Mr Blaine. IIRC they included a 10" extra piece of stainless for the extra frame length between the wheels (so one kit for an LJ or an TJ) The only issue I had was that the kit is designed for a drum brake Dana 44 and the Rubicon comes with discs. I had to do some custom fitting on the two axle hard lines to make that work.

I looking at replacing the same rear lines on my 05. Has anyone tried this set from classic tube. SStubes lists a similar 03-06 with rear disk kit but says it’s for a Dana 35. I thought the only factory rear disk was on a Rubicon Dana 44?

I recently ordered one drivers side rear from Summit and page 16.99 and had it practically overnight-
