Omix is the same company as Rugged Ridge and either are good choices. They offer kits with all new hardware and all are pretty much identical to the original flares that I replaced in my 2001.Omix. I just posted this question last month.
Have you had success with this? Has your paint job stood the test of time? You’re probably better off looking for a used set from Craigslist or FB marketplace. Usually can get them dirt cheap. Just scuff them down, primer and some black paint and they’re good as new. And they’re probably better quality than anything you’ll buy brand new that’s out OEM style wise.
Where did you get said Sahara Flares?I will have some stock ones in a month or so ...cheep cheep cheep - she is getting painted Sahara flares

Yes. Many have. YouTube has many videos about it as well.Have you had success with this? Has your paint job stood the test of time?
There are a few threads you might find on here with google. Several have had success. A few have failed. My paint job didnt work. But many have had success with krylon, sem, other brands and various bedliner sprays.Have you had success with this? Has your paint job stood the test of time?
If you are replacing due to just fading you may want to look at what @Irun did on his recent build.Fixing to order new fender flares, and looking for advise on which brand is the best? Looking for OEM style and size.

I attempted to paint plastic flares a couple times many years ago. I tried some different prep methods but never went to the lengths you described here. My paint jobs always failed. There are a few threads you might find on here with google. Several have had success. A few have failed. My paint job didnt work. But many have had success with krylon, sem, other brands and various bedliner sprays.
My own personal opinion is that if your going to take the time (and sometimes dealing with the nutserts can be a problem) to remove and replace the flares. You might as well buy new. Because if the paint fails your gonna have to remove the flares twice.
But like i said. Mine failed. And im gonna have to take them off again. And put new ones on. I think the plastic is uv protected. So i know it will outlast paint.
But alot of guys. I would say most. Have had good luck with paint. The key is prep. Dawn dish detergent, sand with auto body scotch brite pads ( i think they are grey iirc), wipe down with laquer thinner, spray with adhesion promoter ( although i think krylon makes a two in one adhesion promoter and paint), then light coats with your favorite paint or bedliner. Follow the directions on the can. Completely. Cant stress this enough. I used to think setting up the first coat overnight was a good idea. Terrible idea. Follow the directions on the can.
I suspect mine were just to broken down from the sun. And i tried a plastic dye prior to paint. That failed and i had to restrip them and paint them. But even prior to all that the flares were bleached a blue color from the sun.
