Mesa Verde—another failed urban development

Come to Portland.

Meet the homeless (oh wait, sorry….hard to house), buy some dope and do it in front of the police station, throw some rocks at the cops and smell the piss and shit in the downtown area.

Come for the craft beer, leave with hepatitis C.

Oregon, “We are fucked up”.

You should be in charge of Oregon’s tourism council. (lol)😜

I have always wanted to see the northwest. The forest & mountains, I can stare at pictures of them for hours.
I know the larger cities have been almost completely taken over, but what about the smaller areas? Have they been corrupted too? Still hoping to visit these places someday.

You can see amazing mountains, and unspoiled wilderness in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. The Pacific NW has the amazing beauty of the volcanos and ocean for sure but you'd be amazed by ID, MT and WY just as much.... It's a lot less crowded and less political at the moment as well.

I wouldn’t not visit Oregon, in fact I’ll come back for some key areas like Joseph National Park and the Snake River.

You don’t have to visit the shitty big cities and folks in the rural are as nice and welcoming as any.

Don’t have many views like that in Alabama do we.😀

No sir, the scale of this is hard to fathom. In Alabama, you really can’t see far in the south...you don’t realize it til you get out here.

At least when there not on fire and the area is full of smoke

I lived in Idaho (both south and north) for 45 years. The fires were horrible in the last 70's and early 80's. Then there was a 15 - 20 year gap and then they are back again. Coincidentally that's about how long it takes to grow the trees back.... Those forests have been burning seasonally for 10,000 years.

Best time to go into the mountains is May-July and Sept-Oct. Miss the summer rush and the smoke.
