Rock Auto Disappoints

The problem, to my mind, is more of a FedEx problem than Rock Auto. I'm increasingly becoming a non-fan of FedEx - and am even starting to factor in FedEx vs. UPS shipping when shopping for something; all other things being equal.

With that said, Rock Auto isn't perfect either - I had to pay return shipping on something that was incorrectly listed on their website. *shrug*
you and me both, I had a video of my previous Fedex Driver throwing my Night Force scope about 15 feet onto my porch, needless to say I screamed like a school girl. Scope was fine but video was sent to NF and Fedex.

Wow, similar experience here, how'd you keep after them? Through the email ticket? Or by phone? They closed my ticket, and you can only get through to a receptionist answering system. I left one message, but I'll leave more.
I started with the online texting and moved on to a phone call...
I have been accused of being an A$$ H0L3; just ask my EX....

It's the principle of the matter at this point.
You don't slam a door if my face and not get a reaction. I don't tolerate it. Like I said, had I been here, would've refused it, but closing the ticket while I'm trying to send the extra pics they requested?? Because they didn't like something I said? That's bad service, and they should have replacements on the way, and a pick up issued for these. But so far, nada.
I do the same out of principle but I was responding to my assumption that you needed to get done.

Well, busy with other family duties today, so able to try and get them to do right by me, today. Based on how they do, may end up just getting parts from local auto stores. Let them have these parts, and their biz.

For what Rock Auto charges for shipping for each item and from numerous locations they would do a better job. I'm reluctant to order from them because or their crappy shipping and the cost that goes with it.
Up to the time of the recent problem with RA; all my previous interactions were always good....
I may rethink further dealings with them...

Which is what happened to me. It wasn't right - but at that point I just wanted the wrong parts out of my life and it was $4 and change.
We ordered a 600 dollar Dorman Toyota driveshaft. Installed it, instant vibes just made poorly. To get a warranty replacement you have to buy another and then they will refund you after they get the other one back. We did, they did and all was good for about 2 weeks at which point the replacement went out of balance horribly. Tried to get another one and the only option was to return for full refund. They would not sell us another one via any method attached to our shipping address or alternately to another address with the same payment info. We found an OEM for a good price and installed it.

That blows! How does a driveshaft suddenly go out of balance? Poorly attached balance weight?

It is one of the longer ones with a carrier bearing in the middle of it. The bearing died in a few hundred miles.
EDIT- I should have said it started vibrating horribly. It didn't necessarily go out of balance.

Ah! That'll do it EVERY time! Doesn't say much for Dorman's QC I guess.

Haven’t had good results with any Dorman part I’ve purchased, save one.
The Jeeps visor repair bracket. It’s cast aluminum, not plastic. But I still had to “fix” it, because the attachment clip is crap. I went and found a US made clip, then it was perfect.
