It is much easier to fill your tank by snipping off the bottom corner of a plastic garbage bag than it is trying to do it with a container that's been approved for fuel by any government agency in the last decade or two. Oops, I almost forgot to remind everyone, the bigger the funnel you use, the more you can snip off that corner, and.... NO SMOKING!!!

How stupid do you have to be... I mean lowes/home depot sell those plastic 5 gallon buckets for like 1.99, much better option than plastic grocery bags which we all know have holes in them... waste of good gas.

Oh, and why isn't the EPA all over this lady, clearly she just violated some sort of law :P I can't believe they haven't set up a major sting operation!

Okay, I have to ask. Seeing what this woman is doing is funny, right up until the time she actually gets it into the trunk. Who here would watch someone do something like that, and not intervene? Seriously. The woman is apparently ignorant to the situation she has just put herself in. The chances of what she's doing turning catastrophic a little further down the road are substantial. Would you just allow it to happen (Darwin Award, and all that), or would you intervene? I'm curious to know. And for the record, yes, I would intervene, but that's just me.

Uhh, I don't even think it's funny when someone is basically pouring gas all over the place at a gas station, the potential catastrophy started well before she put it in the trunk.

yes, I'd have gone over and hit the emergency shutoff button.

I only asked because I found myself doing an "Oh, shit!" kind of laughing when I first started watching what she was doing. But once I realized that the "double-bagged for safety" maneuver was actually going to hold long enough to allow her to get it in the trunk, my attitude about the whole thing changed. There's obviously all kinds of things wrong with this situation, but I was focusing on how far would folks allow this to go if they were personally witnessing it.

That was my initial thought too. If the gov't doesn't want people doing stupid shit like this, then don't force stupid shit on us!

I'd offer her a cigarette. JK, maybe?
