I'm in the market for an anti-theft wheel lock. We've had a rash of vehicle thefts in our little town and I have to park my TJ on the street at night. Plus, when I finish my overlanding camper I will want to be able to put a wheel lock on it when we're away from it. Who has one they've been happy with? What brand is it?

Are you talking about a security lug nut or something to go around the wheel to keep it from rolling?

I’ve heard these are decent

Looks to me like a crowbar would make short work of bending the locked covers for the adjusters if a thief really wanted it.
If someone wants something they will get it. Plain as that. Trust me I just had my 20’ car hauler stolen a few months ago. But anything to slow them down or discourage them is a plus.

That sucks. I hope you got it back. I saw the other day on FB someone had a massive goose neck race trailer stole.

I do agree, something is better then nothing.

Insurance payed on it after 6 weeks and I wound up driving to Texas to buy a new one with a higher weight capacity as it saved me 2k over the same one up here in Colorado. I put Proven Industries coupler lock on it and put a large cable lock on it attached to an 18” x 24” concrete anchor sink into the ground.

Something to keep the wheel from rolling. I want to be able to use it on my TJ in town, and on my overlanding camper out in the boonies.

I tried to find a wheel lock for our teardrop trailer, and every one I looked at had reviews where people said a thief just hooks up and drives off while the device rips off. Might think about 3-4 deep anti-theft devices; coupler lock, chain lock (undrillable), wheel lock, et al

Might try the Proven industries one. It’s pricy. Would require removing the wheel to drive off

Those wheel lock lug nuts may put off some thieves from stealing the rims, but they are not that hard to remove with the proper tools. I have removed a few because people lost the key for it.

NOTHING will stop someone that wants your Jeep. Flatbeds aren't just for towing anymore. Ask Jerry B about his 97'.

p.s.
I used to use this deterrent under my seat in the warmer months. Worked great. Also, he was black and white so it can still be used in 2021 without issues.
