hello you guys so im on my second month with my tj X. model with the new jk rubicon wheels witch are i belive 32s i think.

any ways i want to lift it already but i want some feed back.
so i know i might get bashed for this but i want to buy a good suspension that if i want to catch a little speed in a trail here and there the suspension can handle it nice

im not talking about 80mph lol maybe like 40-50mph max or so just to catch a little speed here and there in a straight trail.

i was thinking of purchasing this

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-...0001&campid=5337789113&icep_item=192212966988

can anyone give me some feed back or any advice i have a heavy foot lol i come from fast cars lol there for i like to go slightly fast in the dirt too sometimes

but on regular trails yeah i take it easy nice and slow and enjoy the trail but every now and then if the trail looks nice i like to catch a bit of speed.

Well, that kit would not be the one to "catch a little speed". Plus, it's missing so many required parts it's crazy.

lol well i mean not crazy speed fast lol but yeah something i can catch some what speed lol

Your need is shocks. Period.

If you're trying to do the Baja ...like yee haw...
Fox shocks or Rancho 7000's or Bilsteins

Those absolutely positively the only three shocks I'd recommend not built by King....which one shock is about as much as your kit your whole kit you're looking at.

are these the ones they seem fairly cheap on price witch i like dont get me wrong lol

i need help trying to lift this thing but im very new to the jeep scene so im trying to see what is it i need

Do you like to catch a bit of speed?
Because if so, your at the right forum. We’re all about speed here. Slap some Rancho 5000X on it and catch a bit of speed.

So let's get this straight. You want a lift to help you catch a little speed (40-50mph max) on a straight trail.

How is a lift meant to help this again? If you're all about go-fast on trails, I'm really not sure a Wrangler is the vehicle for you. It can get squirrely on a highway at 70+ for a lot of folks. That's a nice paved road, let alone a dirt trail with the very fast potential to slam a bump or pothole, sending a tire or two into the air with very unexpected results when they meet the ground again.

You need a lift kit. One you piece meal together and won’t be cheap. What your trying to do is expensive and pointless. What’s with the catching speed?

If you want to catch speed put your mountain bike in the back of the Jeep and take it to a hill and coast down. Hit a bump and a tire will be lifted

obviously im not just lifting it for that specific reason

main reason is i dont have alot of clearance anymore after adding the new rubicon wheels and tires ,also i want more clearance when i go wheeling i dont want to be hitting my tires in each trail i go in

i just wanted to see or get some suggestions on a decent lift kit that can handle nice on the trails and ocassionaly handle a little speed if (IF) i i see a straight dirt trail or something 🤷‍♂️ im not tryna hit 100+ baja style through the desert now

40 mph -50mph MAX is that really that fast to panic people out lol jeeeezzz..

Not at all. I used to go that fast on some trails. It gets expensive though.

Imagine you approach someone who drives streetable 1/4 mile drag cars. You say to them "Hey, I just bought one. What engine mods can I buy that'll help me go faster, but also ones that can handle when I take a 90 degree turn on city streets?"

That's what you're asking, and it doesn't make sense. You already said "I have a heavy foot", which translates to "I put myself and other people on the road in danger." This is especially true for a vehicle that has considerably less stopping power than even your average Civic, unless you upgrade the nuts out of your brakes and tires.

Its your Jeep and you'll spend your money and drive it however you want, but I don't think you'll find a lot of like-minded folks here who drive 40-50mhp down a dirt trail.
