TJ control arm drop brackets

OP’s description of “bouncy” makes me think he is experiencing bump steer and his draglink/trac bar are not in sync.

OP do you have a dropped pitman arm in your rig?

what PSI

Well, supposing his does drive like a Cadillac, doesn’t that imply that short arms are fine?

I’d suggest cycling your suspension to see where you are getting interference. If it’s harsh or overly bumpy, you could be bottoming out or have socks that aren’t right for your setup. I can tell you that moving to Fox’s up front that were tuned for an LJ was pleasant - firm but not harsh.
I just looked, three tires were at 20psi and one was at 15, I just bumped them up to 24.

i have 4 inch Teraflex springs, rancho shocks, metalcloak double adjustable arms and 35 inch pro comp mt2s and i LOVE the way my TJ rides. Not jarring, soaks up bumps and has zero bump steer.

I'm hopeful I can get there, what rancho shocks? I can't find anything obvious, my caster is 6 degrees, wheel offset I just checked is at 3.6", maybe I'm just sensitive! My daily driver is a 2011 tahoe so I'm not used to anything fancy, I'd hope I could get the jeep close to that in terms of ride quality.

Here are some pics of my suspension in the front.

Unless your arms are nearly vertical, arms won't change this. And no TJ "rides like a cadillac". They don't have to ride like shit, but they also won't ride like grandma's mercury. I can drive comfortably with a finger on the wheel, but it's not like my old BMW. Jeeps can drive nicely with the right setup.

I don't completely agree with that. My TJ had short arms with a 4" lift kit and you could feel everything on the road. I changed to the long arm kit and it dramatically changed what I felt on the road. And off-road was much better before going down a local track or trail as you guys call them It was horrendous.. So yes long arm kits work. I'm also running Fox 2" with reservoirs front and rear.. on the short arms, I just couldn't tune the shocks .. after swapping to the long arms it's. awesome
