The outer lip on my power steering pully is broken. Would you live with this or replace it? Seems the belt does not catch at all on the lip (so far). Replacing the pulley means a new pump as I cannot get the pully removed and the lip for removal is now broken cleanly off.

Looks like someone may have tried to remove the pulley and broke part of the flange you pull from in the center. I would replace the pump and the belt, its starting to show cracks. I tend to overdo maintenance items. Up to you really, it does suck to be stranded. If that pulley / belt goes you lose more than power steering.

The pulley is quite easy to replace and inexpensive, hit your local auto parts and usually they will lend you the tool to remove it.

I tried to pull the pulley to replace it and the center flange you pull from broke. So instead of a $20 repair it is now a $200 repair. I put an old belt on to see if the belt was going to catch on the outer lip or not.

J'ai les mêmes préoccupations que vous; Qu'avez-vous fait? J'ai essayé de dévisser la vis (hexagonale H9) mais impossible pour elle de bouger, ma poulie est cassée
Comment le desserrer?

Hello! Here's a rough translation into English for others like me who haven't had the opportunity to learn French (this came from Google Translate):

Hi
I have the same concerns as you; What have you done? I tried to unscrew the screw (hexagonal H9) but impossible for it to move, my pulley is broken
How to loosen it?

Sorry, I translated it into English, but when copying and pasting, I don't know what happened
