Need some help with tire chains / cables

If it were me I would look into the diamond style chains by either Laclede or Pewag. And to reiterate some of what @Airjunky said the chances you will need chains is minimal driving on the highway.

What part of Idaho are you traveling to if you don't mind me asking?

BTW, it's freakin snowing here today! In the 15 yrs I've lived here, the earliest I've ever seen snow was a few days before Halloween. Thats a MONTH from now!

Lol, I had to make a correction in my statement. I meant October 31st. We had a little snow Halloween night one year about 10 yrs ago.

We've had snow here in September before, heck for that matter it isn't unusual to have snow accumulations in the mountains around Challis and Stanley in late August and early September. It might only stick around for a day or so that early though.

Yea, when the clouds pull out of here I'm sure the hills around my place will be covered. Might be time to do some snow wheelin tomorrow. Lol

Southeast corner, out of Soda Springs. Was there last week and got some light snow. Not too worried about hwy, mostly off road stuff.

Beautiful country down there.. And if you are not intending to use chains on road then you'd be fine with the standard ladder style chains. Something like these would eliminate the need for bungees
