Are these trim rings factory or aftermarket? If aftermarket, can anyone i.d. them? Sorry for the low quality picture, not the greatest lighting.

Looks like factory wheels to me. I don't see anything aftermarket there.

I’m talking about the trim rings ON the factory wheels. I never seen trim rings on tj steel wheels and I never noticed them on this picture until recently. I like it. I want to get a set and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

They are factory. Deadjeep has them advertised the cheapest I've seen but any salvage place should have them.

If you're talking about the glint around the outer rim of the wheels, I think that may be just a visual anomaly in the pic. I can't think of a way that you could have, say, a thin chrome ring there because it would interfere with the rim where the weights go.

If you're talking about the center caps, @dudehitt got you covered.

I think I can see the chrome trim ring that goes around the outer diamter of the rim. Hard to see it. So hard to help ya on this one. What did you use to take this photo? The light in the background killed its ability to focus on the Jeep.

Maybe a close up pic of one of the wheels is in order, rather than one of the entire vehicle and the parking garage. :)

If those are trim rings around the outside you can get them at pep boys or anywhere. I know guys that had them on stock steelies on other cars. They must work with the weights somehow or maybe they have to be balanced with stick on weights.

I'm 99% sure that jeep is wearing trim rings. If you click on the picture and enlarge it, its pretty clear (to me anyway, picture is still blurry :D) that it has trim rings. The picture was taken with a cell phone in 2011. If they were factory, I'd think we would see plenty of stock photos with them on jeeps. I checked out Deadjeep but I guess there out of them at the moment. They could work with wheel weights IF the clipping mechanism is intermittent instead of a solid ring of clips like they have on the YJ steelies.
Thanks for the input guys. I took this at work but I didn't know the owner. I haven't seen the jeep in years, so putting a note on the windshield is not an option.

Yeah, i've seen those chrome skins. Those are nice. I have a set of the wheels that i want to use the next time I purchase tires and I think the rings are a nice touch. Didn't realize that they are hard to balance though.

They have chrome trim rings on amazon for $40 but the clip mechanism looks continuous. May require a rotate and balance, $40 at discount if you didn't get your tires there. They may be able to put weights only on the inside. The rotational balance is what matters, but i think at least one of my wheels has weights on both the inside and outside.

Did you ever get any information on these?
Curious if they used a non Jeep trim ring to fit the factory wheel.
I like the look of a color matched wheel with a chrome ring like the CJs had.

I don't know if anyone still makes a wheel & trim ring combination that would fit a TJ.
There's this, but it's not removable.
