In my 2017 Ford SD F250. Hadn't seen that in years in a 3/4 or 1 ton truck.
I bought the truck once I confirmed that it had a rear factory locker.
Does Dodge or Chevy / GM still offer the reliable poor man's T Case shift?
Oh yeah, no vacuum hubs either. Manual hubs. It was like 1975 again for me.

Ram still offers a manual shifter in their low end trucks. 2018 was the last year you could get a standard transmission with the diesel. It is now putting out too much power for any of the lighter truck transmissions to handle I guess.

Right! My truck has no carpet, as seen in the pic. Ya gotta go low end to get long life and low maintenance... and old school quality.

But it's got a usb adapter for your thumbdrive. That's cool. How do you access files?
Thru the typical modern fashion. Screen on center dash. It's not touch screen like the higher end models, but there are 4 directional bottons below the screen.
Sync and hands free phone op, is pretty standard even on the low end trucks like mine.

That's pretty cool that you can get those options. Usually they force feed certain upgrades that won't come with others that matter. Like I'll bet that model can't be had with carpet. Which is fine though. If I could get both of those options in a truck. I'd put my own carpet in. My old Tahoe had barn doors in the back. But then you had to accept a bench rear seat. No captains chairs. Like you could get with the older style tailgate.

That's what I love about Jeeps. You could get what you needed. And weren't really forced into any stupid upgrades that deleted other upgrades.

Even the brand new 2020 power wagons still have the manual 4WD shifter, however unfortunately its accompanied by a rotary dial gear selector:rolleyes:
