I bought this TJ bone-stock in 2022 and built it the way you’d build one if you planned to keep it for the long haul: reliable baseline service first, then quality parts, installed by reputable shops. Selling only because I’m not using it as much as I should. Factory options include Dana 44 rear axle, A/C, and premium audio. Service records included for the work below. More pics to be uploaded this weekend.

VIN: 1J4FA49S64P756877
Mileage: ~130,000 (purchased at 120,167 in 2022)

Why this TJ

  • 4.0L + automatic
  • California car!
  • Factory Dana 44 rear
  • Proper suspension geometry & driveline (SYE + DC shaft done the right way)
  • Recent major cooling + soft-top refresh

Major service & upgrades (documented)

2022 — Baseline refresh (SF Car Guys)

  • Major service upon purchase
  • New tires
  • Spark plugs
  • New TCM module

2023 — Suspension & driveline done correctly (Shaffer’s Offroad / Baja race builder)

  • DPG Offroad 2.5" suspension kit
  • JKS quick sway disconnects
  • JKS upper + lower control arms
  • JB Conversions Super Short SYE
  • Tom Woods double-cardan (DC) driveshaft
  • Rancho RS9000XL shocks
  • OME steering stabilizer

2024 — Cooling + top refresh (SF Car Guys)

  • New radiator + thermostat
  • Brand new Bestop SuperTop (twill)

2025 — Inspection + fluids (Golden Gate Jeep)

  • Full inspection
  • Refreshed grease zerks + fluids
  • Brand new battery

Accessories / Extras

  • Android / CarPlay head unit (OEM head unit included)
  • Steering box skid plate
  • Rock sliders
  • Motobilt rear accessory rack (OEM spare mount included)
  • Nomad Convoy wheels + Falken Wildpeak tires(<1,000 miles)
    • Also included: OEM wheels + General Grabber tires (<5,000 miles)
  • Refreshed seat belts (all around)
  • Kicker speakers (all around)
  • Curt 2" hitch

Minor issues (straightforward)

  • Overdrive lock switch light doesn’t illuminate (OD lock works). OEM replacement switch included.
  • Fog lights: stuck “On” at stalk; currently disabled at fuse. XJ OEM fog light switch included.
  • Small tear in the driver seat center (easy upholstery fix; I can recommend a local shop).
  • OEM sub amp is dead. Good candidate for upgrade or OEM drop in. Kicker sub is new and in OEM position.

If you want a TJ that’s been maintained first and upgraded with the right parts (and not “lifted” as an afterthought), this one is set up to be a dependable daily/weekend rig with the expensive driveline work already handled.
