The lack of kids playing outside

We raised our kids in the country. There was no cable TV and nobody had a phone till we moved to the city when they got older and they got a car and started to drive on their own and got jobs at age 16 (job is required). When they were young we homeschooled, built forts, raised horses, chickens, hunted deer, taught Bible, improved the land, cut timber, learned gun safety, shot guns, killed nuisance critters, cooked, cleaned, made our own jerky and sausage, built furniture, and any number of other household chores.

Yeah, there's a hard line. That person is an idiot. I was that kid. I did similar and about died. After spending a few days in ICU, a few weeks in a wheelchair and other related cost, I learned a hard lesson and I don't play like that.

While I fully agree with you 100%, I still had to laugh at the video. Typically, I'm the guy who winces at the "Fail Army"-type videos, as I don't see humor, I see substantial pain and medical bills. Still, this one got me!

Can tell it’s a fake because no father promises a kid that small $20. My kids were less than excited when I showed them bills. Maybe promising a Tonka truck would work though!

Unfortunately, I had a prominent role in developing it. I thought it would be a positive force, opening up channels for the delivery of Mankind's historical knowledge at our fingertips.

"Forgive me, for I know not what I do..."

We have several kids in the neighborhood with e-motorcycles. The kids appear to be 8-12 yrs old. They tear up and down the street doing about 20-30mph and doing wheelies through the intersection in front of my house day and night. This is an uncontrolled intersection. I’ve lived here over 40 yrs and seen several crashes here. Because of this I come to a stop And make sure no one is coming before I go theough. I’m waiting for one of them to be doing a wheelie through the intersection and get hit by a car. It’s just a mater of time. At least they make almost no noise and they do wear helmets.

There's a local road here that I go back and forth on. There's a home with stupid troublemakers. I caught one of them trespassing out on my place. I saw him duck out onto my canyon rim trail and not come out. I jumped in my truck, went out to the road, turned around and there he came toward me.

I squeezed him over onto the shoulder. He wanted to run, but I had him. I showed him my big hogleg revolver and asked him what the hell he thought he was doing.

He had a hard time getting any words out of his mouth, babbling about going out to the canyon. No habla ingles!

I told him to shut off his rig. Old school Honda three wheeler. I attempted to school him and told him to get the hell out and never come back.

Hahahaha, he had a hell of a time getting out of gear and getting started. All the while watched by El Loco Diablo with the big gun!

But that wasn't the end. I was out on the public road, on my way to town and here came the pack. They blew right on straight through a stop sign; they'd have been toast for anyone making a legal turn.

Our idiot County Commissioners allow this; anyone can run offroad vehicles on the roads. Dimwits. Then something bad happens and the weeping starts.

this morning two middle schoolers knocked on the door to welcome us to the neighborhood and ask if my kids could come play.
