I need to upgrade my horn, it isn't very loud. A lot of loud horns I see need a relay because they are a lot more powerful. What is a good loud horn that doesn't need a relay. I horn that I can cut the factory plug off and just use the 12v wires.

Ooh wouldn't that Cadillac horn that sounds like a train work

The Cadillac horn is four separate horns. I had mine attached directly to the factory wiring for many years before adding in a relay during the highline project. Knowing what I know these days, I would never not have a relay.

Relays are easy. Use the factory horn wiring to switch the relay on and off. Then run battery power through the relay to the normally open terminal to power the horn. Then horn to ground.

I’m running duel piaa horns off stock wiring IMG_2543.jpeg

True air horns are very loud and the solenoids draw very little power, so that fits the bill. Can even have a manual valve and not use electricity at all. You just need a good onboard air system.

Not the answer you're looking for, but it's technically correct. Coming up with technically correct but useless answers is one of my hobbies.

I have enough aftermarket stuffs I was trying not to add another relay and power wire to the battery.

The four note Cadillac horns are my favorite sound but they are getting really hard to find and even if you find an old rusty set on ebay they go for big bucks. They do draw over 20 amps though so an additional relay/circuit needed.

If you only have a single horn it will sound anemic. Throw on a GM A and F and it will make a world of difference, no additional circuit needed. A and F horns are easy to find and sound good together. Its the C and D horns that are hard to come by. Adding the C and D to the A and F gets you the train horn sound but also puts you over 20 amps

Got on board air for lockers or airing up tires?
Get you a 5 chime train horn and a manual valve with a pull chain.
No relays or solenoids required and the pull chain would be cool!
