I don't know if this is the right place to post these but how about a really early Studebaker?

Here's a notable early Studebaker. Lincoln took his last ride in it and was dropped off at Ford's.

A little extra early Studebaker trivia, the Studebaker brothers were contracted by the Union Army to provide several thousand pieces of equipment throughout the war, mostly wagons.

In 1988 Jeep was building the YJ with a carbed 258 I-6 that cranked out a kick butt 112 h.p.

Meanwhile Reeves Callaway built a bad ass 1988 Twin turbo small block Corvette nicknamed " The Sledgehammer ".
The Vette was street legal and had 898 h.p. and 772 lb.ft. torque and had a custom Callaway Aero. body package , air conditioning and a cassette stereo. In 1988 John Lingenfelter drove it to the track , recorded a top speed of 254.76 m.p.h. , then drove home . This was 37 years ago with a built small block Chevy.

I think they need to adjust those headlights to meet NHTSA requirements that the headlights point out the front of the vehicle and not show off the engine at cars & coffee.....

I've had mixed opinions on that style/era of Vette - I don't know that this one improves it but I am appreciate the older the more newer goes the 'new way'...

Yep... And now they are cranking out nearly 1100 HP with a 4.0... crazy how far we've come in the past 35 years

If you're talking about the current corvette ZR1X that figure includes the electric motors (hybrid car). The engine is a 5.5L and makes somewhere in the 650 hp range, which is still impressive, especially since it is a street engine with factory warranty coverage.

The crazy thing is Joe Blow with financial means (leverage) can stroll into basically any dealership and take home a vehicle with 500 hp or more. I've meet Joe Blow, he's a moron who shouldn't be allowed to drive in the first place. Just think of all of those Mustangs creating memes as they left events.

I was talking about the newcomer racing 4.0

My buddy Rick either owned one of those, or never pulled the trigger on purchasing it. I no longer remember. For those who are unfamiliar with these, it's that fact that it's a 4-door hardtop wagon that gives it its exclusivity. Hardtop wagons are a rare breed, in general. Here's a few of them...

Or how about this ultra-rare '57 Mercury 2-door hardtop wagon?

But it was the lowly '56 Rambler that started it all...;)
