Ran across this the other day. A place two counties over imports and sells these things. I guess they are pretty cool, and work well, as long as you don't try to drive on the freeway. The idiots in Oregon are talking about making them street legal...

What a deal to take fishing, or go fetch firewood and groceries! Pretty cheap too. Wouldn't feel bad about abusing the crap out of one on logging roads and skid trails.

There is a firetruck one around me that I always thought was cool.

I kind of want one, but being 6'7" I think I would kind of look too much like a circus freak driving around in it. Especially if I had the fire truck version.

I just found out about these last week. A former employee of mine is importing one. It's on a boat right now. It's a Subaru that's supercharged. He bought it on some auction site for about $3,500 and said the import fees and shipping are about the same amount, so $7k delivered. They're street legal here in TX he said - recent law change allowed it.

Lot a people around here have them, some are street legal. 3 neighbors have them. I wondered how hard it is to get parts for them and A guy told me you can order just about any part, but it takes a while to get them. They had one for sale that the bed lifted up like a scissor lift that I thought would be cool to hunt out of. It was 4x4 and painted camo. If you're a big person, it will be tight. I fit but cramped.

We imported them in the late 90's 2000's they are cool little trucks.

Heat, AC, 4x4 put a little more aggressive tires on them.

I think we were getting 10 to 12 in a forty foot container. But they were stacked in there.

Some parts can be sourced in the states others had to be ordered.

With all the web places now, ordering parts shouldn't be bad.
