Hello i have 05 6speed and previous owner isntall a body lift and i believe aftermarket driveshaft i have ford 8.8 rear but since i got it is being doing the same speed would go up and down like no reading the speed and after accelerate would go down feet out the pedal and would move but no a accurate speed no check light any advices

I think I kinda understand what's going on?
I've had this happen to me before on a hall effect type speed sensor (different from a gear driven type like in a TJ). Erratic speedometers for me has either been a bad VSS or a bad ground for the VSS.
