For all of us with two wheels also

A long hard slog on the Urinal with the Chicago Region BMW Riders today.

It was a much larger and faster group than I'm used to. It appears that I wasn't the only one with that assessment. That aside, It was an enjoyable ride to the most popular State Park in Illannoy, Starved Rock, on a really nice day. I had a decent burger at the patio restaurant, then went solo for the ride home.

To me, this is a proper BMW.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a hundred bikes on the ride.

Sorry, I meant to reply to this post @Cheesy, about a 2018 Urinal for sale near me.

He didn’t even have anybody hold his beer. He just finished it off and threw it on the ground before he hit it. I went over the front of my handlebars about a week ago after hitting some unexpected deep mud, but I didn’t look anywhere near as graceful as that guy.

Here’s a peaceful pic from later that day after the mud dried.

Is that a 300?

Yes it is. Until recently, I hadn’t been on a dirt bike for about 25 years. Thought I would start with the 300 for now and upgrade later to either a true adventure bike or the Triumph 900 Scrambler. I really like the Triumph’s for some reason.

Wanted one back in 2020 but the dealer said they’d never get one at the time due to all the ships sitting offshore during Covid. Ended up settling on a 250. It’s been fun and is enjoyable while riding with the daughter on her 50.

I was more into lightweights but my younger brother had something like that that he 'found'.

Were lightweights "10 speed" racing bikes?

I built a banana seat chopper bike.. Cut and welded the forks... Couldn't afford a springer fork...
