Yea it’s cracked. I made a repair with plastic JB weld. Worked for a while but now it’s leaking again.
On the 2005/2006 TJs I believe you can but it would be illegal.
The master DTC list of the pcm can be programmed/modified to disable the MIL/SES
The tank would need to be modified or replaced.
The flow management valve controls the venting of the tank during filling so removing it may cause some difficulty during filling but
if it is completely stuffed it may be worth trying.

I can’t find it anywhere. I found a gas tank free 7 hours away and one 20 min away for $350.
a 7 hour drive would be a long trip if it was also cracked
Found mine to have a broken nipple this weekend with filling up.
I'd entertain any instructions on deleting it all. I don't have to do emission/inspection and can turn the MIL of with HPTuners.
Really don't want buy a new tank..

Once upon a time i dropped my tank and if i recall correctly there was a small hose that connected to the tank a few inches from the filler tube. The other end of this hose connected to a metal tube connected to the filler tube right behind the metal ring inside the filler tube. This allows pressure to vent out the filler tube past the gas nozzle through the hole in that metal ring that the gas nozzle goes into.
I certainly could be wrong.
I would think that valve has a pressure relief a pound or two less than the gas cap to allow the vapor to go through the canister and get recycled into the engine rather than into the atmosphere. If the gas cap wears out and the vapor is escaping the cap and not going back into the system, the CEL light comes on.
