Hello everyone, I recently had to take apart my passenger door because my latch broke. I broke one of the white clips that hold the rod itself to the door panel so it doesn't flex when pulling the latch. I attached a photo to show the best I can. Has anyone ever had these break or know where to get some? I've looked everywhere. Any help is appreciated

I appreciate the response. I kind of came to the same conclusion. Kind of odd I can’t find any. I appreciate your help

I ordered some off Amazon and didn't want to wait several days so I approximated with cable ties.

Ties are still of the Jeep and the clips are floating in my spares box somewhere.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Not sure if that’s the same clip I took a photo of. These attach to the door panel itself to “strengthen” the rods when the handle is pulled.

I just rebuilt some old half doors and used these clips:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SGH824H

These fit all locations except for the door lock tumbler, which uses a smaller size, however, I was able to trim the part of the clip that insets into the arm on the lock, which reduced the radius a little and was able to use them there as well.

Apparently some folks are not understanding which clips you need. They are assuming it's the clips on the end of the rod, and not the ones in the middle of the rod.

Oops. I was one of those folks. I don't think I realized there were clips in the middle of the rods, but I've only seen the hardware in my half doors. I just looked at pics from when I had the doors unassembled and there are no places for those clips to connect to on the door body...are those a full door only thing, or are they only on certain years?

Hope the OP can find what they need!

Yeah sorry for the confusion if I caused it. And I’m not sure I have full doors. When I try to open the door the rod just flexes out and won’t keep its rigidity.

I searched thru the Parts Catalog for your year TJ and could not locate the clips you were referencing.
You may be able to find something that will work for you on this website.

https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Chrysler-Jeep-Clips-Fasteners-Retainers-s/66.htm

I think it might be "55177 131AA" with a quantity of (2) two. the "-" prefixing the item number indicates a part not illustrated, often done for more common fasteners and clips. That said, as with many other TJ parts it is discontinued and an internet search produces no images of the part. Noted as a guide rod bracket, seems like a reasonable description.

I suspect trying to find a substitute is your best option.
