Took just under 4 hrs to make it home from Bumble Bee last night. Great day yesterday and would love to do more today but I'm going to pass due to the construction delay/detours I'd have to repeat. That was a brutal kick in the tender bits after an already long day in the saddle.
Bob, great seeing and wheeling with you and look forward to next year. Greg and Milt, let's try to get out again before Greg's return to the frozen Midwest Tundra.
Hey Dave it was great seeing you and thank you for the grapefruit! We had a great time on the trail yesterday, it’s too bad you aren’t able to make it out today. I don’t blame you, your ride home yesterday sounds brutal! Take care and we will see you next year my friend!
What a great day we had out on the trails yesterday, the weather was great and the trails were wicked cool! We wound up doing Table Mesa area trails Anaconda, Predator and finished the day with Boulder Creek. The trip to Arizona and back to Texas has been pretty interesting on its own, from trailer tire/ lug nuts issues, major traffic issues on the inbound to dust storms interstate shut down issues on the outbound and still have one more day of travel tomorrow. I’ll have to do a write up later this week with some photos when I get back to the house. Till then I’m still smiling Milt ( great trail choices and spotting) and stay shady my friends!
Well we made it home Tuesday about lunchtime, went fairly well but the wind and dust was purty crazy. The best thing about the drive was the 40+ mph tail wind! Our trip out west was great, weather was very pleasant but they are really dry so it was purty dusty on the trails. Here are some photos out on the trails.
Saturday trail was DeSoto Mine and wound up at Crown King for lunch and drinks. We were able remember and toast our friend RINC/Chris Burke. It was a great day on the trail but a long day for @DaveC and @PurpleTJAZ due to construction and traffic. Thank y’all for a great weekend of wheeling and we are looking forward to our trip back next year!
