Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

Well I looks like it's Fedex that has F'd up. As @RockyTopTJ said was it multiple packages and it looks like it was.

I received an email saying the package was delivered, the picture is not my house. Finally after 40 minutes on the phone with Fedex the package was delivered to an address in Concord, MA which is 45 minutes east of were I live. Who knows when I'm going to get it and hopefully it's the right parts. :(

"FedUp" screwed the pooch AGAIN? Who woulda thunk. They seem to have far more screwups than UPS and USPS combined. I have a package coming from Japan via Orange Connect "SpeedPAK". Tracking for this one is "interesting" as its gone from OC to UPS to USPS - the latter seems intent on giving it the grand tour of the state as its been in Orlando twice thus far...

If savvy wants to have customer service. They should file a claim with FedEx and send you out a replacement order. FedEx can pay them. Not fair to make the customer wait.

I'm hoping I will hear something from Savvy on Monday. Key word hoping! As has become the standard for customer service is lacking to say the least.

Savvy and Fedex the next stars of Dumb and Dumber.

I should have been suspicious following the tracking when it showed an area not even close to me. Thought it was a distribution center it was going to first.

Zavvy and Fed Ez

What a pair.

Exactly!

Update: I received a text from Gerald this afternoon. He ran out of the arms. I explained I received two shipping notices and one went to my house and the other to another house in another town thinking those are the arms. He said he must of cut and pasted the labels in the system incorrectly. So someone in Concord MA ordered some Zavvy parts also.

He said he received a lot of orders last weekend. So a lot of people must be buying those $1200 bumpers . He hopes to have some arms next week to ship out. And I even asked for a couple of stickers, he said he would put them in the box. I'll believe it when I see it .

At least he reached out on a Saturday to make it right. I don't know what the answer is with Savvy and there business practices. It's to bad it has gone down hill so much.

FedEx still sucks. I tried canceling the claim and can't get through to anyone . Thank you to everyone for the comments, suggestions and laughs it's appreciated.

Why ship a partial order when you don’t have the rest of it… especially when you need both sides to do anything with it.

Savvy is shipping fast if they have the stuff. I ordered a body lift and cable shifter on NOV 29 and it shipped on NOV 30. The fast shipping and discount they had at the time (understanding it was a discount on top of a price hike with a net increase) got me to go ahead and order the modular under armor and under armor engine skid on NOV 30. I received a shipping notification on DEC 5, but did not pay attention that it was "partially shipped." I received the body lift and cable shifter on DEC 3 and the engine skid on DEC 12. I wrote Savvy and Gerald responded the next day that they were waiting for the arms to come in and maybe they would be able to ship next week. It's next week and there are no updates. I'm not too concerned at the moment as it will be a good week or two before I'm at the point in my build that I can install the skids and they're responding to emails.

Update, arms and hardware arrived this afternoon!

Even got the stickers I asked for, Merry Christmas to me  Never heard anything back from Suck Ex, guess a claim number means nothing to them at this point it doesn't matter. So everything is here including Rockjock Rebuild tools, Kimpex 48 21 J21 snap ring pliers. Kimpex 48 21 J31 are on the way for delivery next week. I will disassemble them to re-grease them so they are ready for installation in the spring.

And it's snowing here right now :cautious: Jeep projects have stopped until warmer weather.

At some point I'm planning to pull the trigger on control arms, and with a buy once cry once mentality for probably one of the more significant upgrades I'll make to this Jeep. What are the differences between the Savvy arms (using Currie joints), and these double adjustable arms from Currie?

The Currie arms are $300 more, and are made from steel vs aluminum for the Savvy arms. Are there other differences that would justify the higher price for the Currie arms? What an I missing, the Savvy price seems like a relative bargain compared to what Currie is asking?

Savvy are all double adjustable. RJ are double for upper but single for lower. All double adjustable make dialing in your pinion angles and dialing out vibes so much easier, as you don’t have to remove the arms to adjust length on any of the arms.

You may get lucky on the first try or two, but if you don’t, you’ll thank yourself you bought the Savvy’s.

You want double adjustable all around. The entire theme of my build was “35s done right”. Don’t compromise and think “it’ll be ok”. You will regret it for years to come.

I have savvy arms and would never go back to single adjustable. @GregBelleville sorry. Didn’t tag you initially

I guess the fact that the Currie arms are only double adjustable for the uppers (which I didn't even realize until you pointed out), makes it even more puzzling for their $300 premium? I guess that's what marketing and funding a race team adds to the cost?

Until now I was under the impression that the only real difference between these two sets was steel vs aluminum. Savvy gets it's fair share of shit for their high prices, but it would seem in this case, they're a bargain relatively speaking.

Yeah. Idk why rock jock is more expensive now. They use to be same price. I bought mine 2 years ago and they were around the same (within a few bucks).
