Hey guys, it looks like Tamra and I are headed back out your way in late February/ early March! We found a rental in Black Canyon City, if any of y’all are interested in doing any trails Saturday 03/01 and or Sunday 03/02 let me know on this thread.
@DaveC , @PurpleTJAZ , @Farmergreg , @Jamison C , @JHammett , and anyone else that wants to join us.

Any ideas which trails you might do? Bumble Bee or Crown King area? I've never been offroad up there but always wanted to.

we are up for purty much anything, we've done Crown King twice, Terminator, Boulder Creek, and a few others in the area. There was talk last year of maybe doing Anaconda, but I'm not sure. We're still 2 months out so there is time for input on trails y'all might wanna do.

Thanks. I see there are several ways in and out of Crown King, is there a usual route you would take? I'll check out Anaconda. I'm all stock on 30s.

3 ways into crown king. Senator Highway off I17 is a graded dirt road any passenger car could make. Castle Hot Springs road is a little less tame but not much more than a rutted fire road from what I've heard (have never been that way ).

The Back Way to Crown King is the most popular and a pretty fun trail. I've taken it a few times, the first couple on 31s, a 2" lift and open diffs. Plenty of bypasses. You'd only possibly need someone to winch you up a bit on the final obstacle if the bypass is blocked, which it was last time I was there last year.

The back way must be the OHV road I read about. I took the Castle Hot Springs road last year in my Superduty but only went a little ways past Castle Hot Springs, it got noticeably narrower and rougher once we passed CHS.

I did back way to Crown King last month. I took a TJ on 31’s through everything but the lady driving stayed with it and listened to instructions. The last obstacle has gotten a lot worse. Bypasses were all open.
As far as Anaconda, we did back in May. that trail is no joke. You may be able to go down it if your tolerance for body damage is very high. Getting up it, I would advise a well built rig on 35’s and locked and a good spotter. There are plenty trails around table mesa you can do without tearing your TJ up.

Good morning Milt, thanks for up date on the area trails. I remember last year there was talk about Anaconda and while we were doing the Terminators we stopped and watched a group of jeeps going through the gate keeper. We are up for what ever the crew is up for as far as trails go either Saturday or Sunday or both. Just looking forward to spending time with y'all and being back in the desert!

Hey guys thought I would bring this back up, it’s 3 weeks out from when we will be back in the desert 🏜️! It’s been a long month for sure I started the process of out boarding my rear shocks between Christmas and New Year’s and I just finished it up this week. I really like how it turned out, I did have to wait on some unforeseen parts. Looking like we are on schedule to be back out there on the 28th. If y’all are still up for some rock skider’n and spring stretch’n Saturday and/or Sunday let everyone know on this thread.

Please keep me in the loop. I have an 8 month old at home and a wife with a fractured kneecap, so the likelihood of getting out of the house for an entire day is low, but I would like to be there if I can!

@JHammett keep an eye on this thread and you'll be in the loop. Hopefully as we get closer to the first we'll have trails nailed down. Hope your wife gets to feeling better.

Hey guys we’re sneaking up on a week out from our return to the desert 🏜️. If any of y’all are still interested in running some trails in the north Phoenix or Table Mesa area let’s try to put something together here on this thread. Let me know what y’all are thinking 🤔! Thanks

I am in for sure. Not 100% sure about what we will do. Greg had a few ideas about exploring some areas east of I17.
We could do something like Desoto mine. One day we can play on Table Mesa stuff like Anaconda, Judgment Day, UTV trail. I am open to any suggestions from mild to wild.

Sorry, Bob. Life has been super crazy lately and I haven’t been checking the form much. I should be available as long as I can plan ahead on certain times and dates.

Good to hear Milt and looking forward to hanging out. We’ll see if @Farmergreg and @DaveC or others might have for suggestions. Table Mesa is a fun area for sure.
