Hello all,

2005 TJ, After years of dealing with a small evap leak, i finally decided to smoke test my evap system

Found it pretty quickly, was leaking from a fitting on the fuel tank. I tried to remove the hose but the white piece on the tank was so brittle it just snapped. Woops.

Im really not sure what this piece is called, and if its replaceable or not. Any advice is appreciated.

Cheapest and easiest fix would be to see if you can find a brass fitting that can thread into the hole with some RTV so you can hook up a hose.

Otherwise your probably going to have to replace the tank.

Suggestion: get an inch of small brake line. Drill the plastic out just enough to insert the brake line snugly. Final assembly with an epoxy maybe.

I like both ideas, I havent been able to find a brass fitting that is small enough to screw into the hole, its pretty small.

I do have some brake line laying around, maybe I can JB weld some of that in the hole and try to macgyver some way to attach the hose to the brakeline so it doesent leak.
