Is it worth my time to install a new blower motor resistor plug?

ok so doing my blower motor resistor today.

i have the option of just the resistor for $26 or a resistor kit with a new wiringharnes and plug for $30

is it worth my time to do a new plug?

Can't hurt for the extra $4 to have it just in case.

I'd inspect the connector and see if its corroded or damaged in any way, then replace as needed. If no damage found, you have a spare connector for when it eventually fails.

Better to have the connector on hand rather than forking out more dough for it down the line.

I didn't know the harness/plug was a potential problem area. I just replaced the resistor in mine ~6 years ago and still hanging on. The harness get too hot or something?
