I sent him a message, it's got some frame and body rust, needs brakes and has an oil leak.

Hey hopefully they will just part it out. NP241 and dana 44's bring good money now. for the price that would be an expensive project to take on with the level of repair needed.

Nah man it's definitely not at the point of being parted it out, especially at the price point. I have 10k dumped into my Orange TJ and it's a goner. Who knows if this things really a Rubi or not but green LJRs are unobtainium.

Can’t be many of them left anymore to be honest

I suppose that's the story of the TJ in general at this point. My LJR is garage kept I don't drive it very much at all. The TJ when it's time to replace I will get a high mileage 4 cylinder 5 speed from out west with a faded hood, ripped seats, etc. something that's ratty that no one wants but the bones are good. Because I can't see myself offroading and heavily modifying a really nice Jeep with the market being what it is now. I know the real wheelers on here will laugh at my mentality because let's face it the LJ's and LJR's are really the perfect platform for mods. Just getting a bit scarce now.
