I drove my 2005 Corvette C6 to Nashville, all proud since I never had one ….and this guy gets by me in traffic, we hit the interstate together and he lit it up- it is a McLaren 720s, they start at 301,000 dollars and go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. I had never seen anyone really get on a super car. I didn’t see him very long once he did. It was fiercely fast.

I’m watching the stream of the spectator drags at the freedom factory right now and a C8 just beat a McLaren to win the losers bracket. Not sure what model McLaren it was.

One of the new C8 models is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever put in a car- pretty big claim.

That is the one car that looks different in every color, and at every angle.

I was stuck in traffic with this guy and I felt bad for him. Kept gassing it just to hear the motor. I enjoyed the sounds as well

It was the sound on this one when he nailed it that got me- sounded amazing, then he was gone.

I saw a McLaren documentary- there are companies that just sound tune the exhausts - length, shape, etc. pretty cool .

Very true Andy. I was lost in the battle for the fastest for several years....eventually to realize its a losing battle. I found it best to stick with something that you love that happens to be very fast and just enjoy the ride.

I had a mini cooper countryman S awd with a tune a few years back. Was playing with a yellow C6 corvette in New Mexico coming down the twisties off the mountain on 82 from Cloudcroft. We kept playing leap frog. It was fun. When it finally opened up and flattened out and straightened up I put it on at about 145 as fast as possible for a bit and he didn't want to keep up after that.

The nice thing about driving a TJ is just about every other car is the faster car , but we can sure beat up on the early 60's VW transporters !

I passed a TJ on the way up there and he was you know maxed out at 60 I guess- I just had to shake my head when I went by him-

At the same time I really enjoy driving my TJ more than the Corvette and a lot more in the summertime.

The Corvette is a good date night car with the wife...Until you catch her out on a date in it. 😝
