I am building a custom Fuse / Relay Box and need a platform to mount it on...

I recently added a York OBA compressor and noticed 2 unused mounting hole that would work perfect for mounting my fuse / Relay box. I am curious if having the box mounted to the engine will cause me problems due to vibration.

I have attached a picture of a paper template of the mounting platform that will accommodate my needs. If there are no problems with mounting it directly to the compressor, I will simply add a 90-degree flange to the plate and bolt it up.

Thoughts?

Is there a specific reason you want to mount to the engine and not the inner fender? Something to keep in mind the further from the engine centerline you get the more movement up and down you have during acceleration and deceleration.

How about the tray under the brake booster? The plate looks very large how many relays and fuses are you installing?

That would require the removal of my ABS. Regarding the size of the plate, it will be trimmed to the minimum necessary size.

No specific reason, just saw two easily accessible pre-threaded holes in the general vicinity of where I want to mount the box.

I have mine mounted to the AC compressor bracket as I don’t have air conditioning. Sits right behind the alternator and I’ve never had any issues
