Does Anyone Have Experience With Bestop Molded Half Doors (Part Number 53739-37)?

Anyone have experience with the Bestop Molded Half Doors 53739-37?

Looks like the exterior is a UV resistant plastic and they come with speakers and a courtesy light and wiring harness. Wasn't able to find a lot of information about them but did find some old posts saying the fit wasn't great.

Didn’t even know these existed. Those sure are cool with the speaker provisions.
 
I saw a set once at a salvage yard called sgt jeep in rosamond CA. I didn't look super close but looking back on it they kindof reminded me of the plastic doors on rzrz and sxs these days.

I wasn't super impressed but thats probably because I was digging for true half doors and couldn't find any in good shape.

I had a brand new set years ago. They did not fit the best. Nice concept though. I almost immediately sold them…

If they were to remake them with modern polymer advances they’d probably be so much better. And they’d probably be ridiculously priced…
 
@sycboi Thanks for sharing. General consensus on these seems to be the fitment even when new is poor and that the interior panels crack pretty heavily over time.
 
Tried a set - not a typical Bestop product- I passed- poor fit , not at all on par with stock 1/2 doors
 
Thanks Don! I ended up finding a pair from a salvage yard last month and have them on the shelf to refurbish for a future project (paint, new hinges and handles, weatherstripping, etc).
