Just gave him a call, told him the situation. He understood and said it should be fine for a little while until I can change the pads. I’m gonna go test drive it and if it makes any weird noises or doesn’t stop (ha!) I’ll report back for anyone else who ever runs into this random little issue...

Shoot I ordered the pads from him and emailed him about it last night so I could send him pics of what I was talking about. Think I should call too? Don’t want to pester him…

Yep I have them on order just won’t have time to install them until next week. My question is- does anyone know if the Jeep unsafe to drive until then without that little spring?

Thanks for the replies. I ordered some new pads from Blaine but won’t have time to install them and do the break in for a week or so. Need to use the Jeep meantime. If anybody thinks it’s unsafe please let me know. Seems like the spring probably wasn’t doing much considering how easily it popped...
