Looking into upgrading my TJ speakers

I'm guessing you already did all of this, but for anyone else, 6.5s do fit into the roll bar, you'll just need a drill bit or two for a couple additional holes. I have 6.5s in mine and it only took this gal about 60 minutes in full to get em in.

Soft Top Window Storage Solutions: On the Go (2001 TJ Half Door)

So the hard plastic slides, those are ok to roll? I'll admit I haven't tried, bending the hard plastic hasn't seemed like a smart decision. I figured they'd crack/break.

Soft Top Window Storage Solutions: On the Go (2001 TJ Half Door)

Interesting idea for keeping the zip out in! I may try this! Still need a solution for my uppers, but this could get me a step closer.

Soft Top Window Storage Solutions: On the Go (2001 TJ Half Door)

I cant wrap my brain around how these work. I'm guessing it's due to the soft top I have. My side zip outs clip into tracks on the bottom and front side of the window. They do not roll up. Even coming up with a decent solution for the sides, the largest struggle tends to be the uppers for my...

Soft Top Window Storage Solutions: On the Go (2001 TJ Half Door)

I'm curious to see peoples soft top storage solutions while on the go. I'm often running from our family lake house, to home, camping, day trips, etc. without a true landing pad to just leave my uppers and zip outs. I got a quick cover for when I'm topless, but the weather has been a bit wild...

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

I got under there today and just replaced the connections and transmission lines myself. Was actually super easy. I've never done work under a vehicle before, that was new for me. But it went great! I don't even know what kind of hosing they used previously but it was definitely exhausted. It...

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

Thanks! That's the plan tomorrow. I'll be cleaning all, then checking hoses and connections. After that, if I'm still experiencing issues, I found a reputable mechanic that has a focus on older Jeeps. Being in Michigan and all of our sand dunes, it sounds like there a quite a few, but picked...

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

This is a much bigger issue than I had thought. Yesterday, I got under there a bit more and see that it was actually leaking transmission fluid. Check the fluid, running, in neutral, and here it came, drip drip drip. Tranmussion fluid was beyond low, I'd say empty! Remember, I just topped off...

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

I currently have the Haynes Repair Manual, but it's like a dang "choose your own adventure" book. 😆 Constant redirect to a different chapter or section after like 4 sentences. I'm always getting lost in it. I'll check out that download. Hopefully it's searchable, that'd be stellar.

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

I updated this to indicate Automatic. I have no clue how I ended up putting Manual in there. Probably wishful thinking from my initial search for a Jeep.

2001 TJ 4.0 has rough idle and cylinder misfires

These are the specific codes that fired prior to the last weeks changes: Prior to that, I was getting specific 3 and 6 cyclinder misfires.
