    Help Diagnosing Engine Knock

Hey folks. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, just haven't had anything to update. Until now. The knocking sound was still as present as ever, so I decided I'd try a different approach. I don't normally care for additives, and I know there are a ton of different opinions on here about them, but...

Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Zip ties! Great idea! Thanks for that! I'm just not comfortable drilling my frame. More of a personal comfort level than anything. Also, I don't do any rock-crawling or anything like that in my TJ so I don't really see much need in the future for the quick disconnect links for myself, but my...

Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Thanks for the review! Do yours have disconnect pins? Or are they the normal bolt-on variety?

Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Thanks Jerry, good to know. Any other dual-disconnect brands you recommend? As far as I can tell, the JKS links for the TJ only disconnect on one end, so the other end has to be connected to a holding bar drilled into the frame (unless I'm missing something). I'm not really comfortable drilling...

Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Right on. Thanks. I figured since I couldn't find them that they weren't anything people were all too excited about. ;) What do you think about Skyjacker dual-disconnect links? If possible, I would like to keep the quick disconnect idea but not have to drill my frame to mount a holding post.

Can You Identify This Sway Bar Link?

Hey folks. I've got a bad sway bar link that I need to replace, but I can't for the life of me find a matching replacement. I've only seen one like it, in a Rancho lift kit (which I'm pretty sure is the lift kit on my TJ), but I can't find them sold separately. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Help Diagnosing Engine Knock

Welcome to the “got-a-random-knocking-sound-in-my-Jeep-and-I-can’t-figure-it-out” family. ;) Lots of great info here. Hopefully you can figure yours out. If not, I agree with fourpointzero, worry not and carry on! If you do figure something out, please share here so we can all learn. Thanks!

    Help Diagnosing Engine Knock

Anyone checked their thrust bearing clearance by chance? I neglected to check mine while I had the oil pan off and it's bothered me ever since. Could potentially cause a rattle if the crank is bouncing back and forth. Although I don't know how that would fit in with the...

What? You don't like the idea of dropping $200 just to fill up your gas tank soon?? 🤣

This is really amazing! The sound it makes after (or the lack thereof) is simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing what you did. Sounds like wrist pins are definitely on the list of potential culprits then.

    Help Diagnosing Engine Knock

Lol, for real. Some day! Ok, maybe a dumb question for some, but what exactly does "lifters bleeding down" mean? I've seen that mentioned a few times but I honestly have no idea what that actually means, lol. What would I look for to see if that is happening in my TJ? Thanks in advance!

    Help Diagnosing Engine Knock

Dang! All that and STILL got the noise? Sorry! I checked the clearance of my bearings too and just like yours, they were all fine. Piston slap is really starting to be my main suspicion. It's super hard to diagnose. Have you checked your exhaust manifold for cracks by chance? I'm still...
