I took a 3/4 rubber hose and put it to my ear and the other end all around the engine until it got loud in the hose like a stethoscope. That’s how I got down to the location.

I did, it was a vacuum leak from the intake manifold to the head. 1 bolt had backed slightly out and it was the intake gasket whistling like when you blow across the of paper. 1/4 turn on the closest bolt solved it. We had done the gaskets in the last 6 months and either that bolt got missed on...

Yep this is it. It was previously hanging from where it was taped into the harness and I think the jeep just got hot enough under the dash to release the tape and dropped it into the floor board. It sat in the shop for a few weeks when it was really hot and the dash recently got removed and...

Are there any vacuum systems that don’t open until it warms up? Evap or something else? It never does it on start up and when it starts it’s like some one flipped a switch and it starts doing it and keeps doing it no matter what.

Because the TB is closed and as we open the TB vacuum drops because it’s pulling air through the TB?

Maybe an idle bearing on the belt drive?

All factory intake system. It can try the belt but it’s not a squeal like belt. It’s way higher pitched and also sounds like air or vacuum but it it gets lower when vacuum increases as you rev. I’d think it would get higher when you add RPM or throttle. It’s really got stumped right now. I...

Recently this fell out from under the dash…we have no idea where it goes or if it’s important or if it’s there for an option this Jeep doesn’t have. Any thoughts? Looks like a jumper loop. Yellow with Red strip, 2 pin plug. I’m guessing it is a body mounted plug with that push connector on it.

Well... I sold this project recently...so no more updates. It had made quite a bit of progress in a completely different direction. Then I sold it. Also I have been spending all my shop time getting my disastrous shop cleaned and organized and actually finished.

Working on this took a back seat for while, we've been back on it again but hardly took any pictures of the work, its only 4 months or so until it is my son's daily driver. He is so pumped to get to drive it and is already loving it with his permit. Still odds and ends and repairs going on but...
