Here are few pics of the mud flaps on my LJ as seen in post #25 above. Rear - These are NOS OEM rear flaps and the they are mounted properly. They are the same as the flaps at the top of the pic in post #1 of this thread. No new holes are required. They are mounted using 2 of the holes...

I'll try to take some pics and post them. From memory they bolt on to existing points where the inner liners attach on the back and through the inner fenders on the front.

At a quick glance I think I see seven 10mm sockets in there, so you must be doing something right! :giggle:

For those who make their own, here' a simple jig I made. It speeds up the process and ensures that the lengths are the same. It's also adjustable for length if you're making straps for other purposes.

I don't know but I would hope not as it wouldn't be much of a deterrent.

In Ontario there is a $5,000 damages milestone that has a significant bearing on the penalty if convicted. I believe it's max. 6 mo. in prison if under $5k and up to 10 yrs. if over. Just guessing but I imagine they want to confirm the amount before laying the charge. I'm sure it will be...

I have the MOPAR "flap" style vs. the molded ones on my LJ which I drive through the winter. They deflect a lot of crud and I barely know they're there. As for the molded style, I understand the were only made for the narrower flares and not the wider 4" flares that are on Rubicons, Saharas...

If you're looking for a trailer for general use the width of the bed is important. I didn't look at M416 trailers that seriously but I think they are less than 48" wide which makes things a bit tougher for sheet materials (plywood, drywall, etc.). I built a utility trailer about 10 years ago...
