Need input on selling my TJ

Same in NEPA too... lots and lots of clean TJ's, JK's, and JKU's sitting for weeks and months without selling. Oddly enough, lots of options from southern states. It seems that many that have moved to NC, FL, or GA have moved back. I'm at the point now where I may actually buy a 2-dr JK and...

Gen III Hemi Swap into TJ Reference Guide & Swap Info

@Wildman, yes, this is what I've heard and seen too, though I have not seen anything from AMW or others suggesting the shifter needs to be replaced. The big question that remains is "what is a safe speed to override to?", meaning at what speed moving forward is it safe to allow for the quick...

    House inspection questions

I shoot a number of houses for local realtors and I've seen this a few times lately too, though it was always on higher-priced homes ($700k and higher).

Gen III Hemi Swap into TJ Reference Guide & Swap Info

I heard he's working on it (Sound German too) but have not seen anyone actually confirm.

    House inspection questions

Radon is common here in PA too. For air intrusion, you typically use a sub-surface vent fan that pulls air from BELOW your slab and vents through a vent above the house. It's not difficult to do your own, and there are plenty of good resources on YouTube and similar, but does require some...

Gen III Hemi Swap into TJ Reference Guide & Swap Info

There's really no reason NOT to run the 8HP70 really... some people worry about the ability to slap into R if you're worried about a roll over, but I think there are some tuners working on that update now.

How many of you have / use wheel chocks?

My neighbor's boyfriend was working on his shift cable, and when it finally came loose, the car went into neutral, causing it to roll down her ~50' long driveway, across two lanes of traffic, and land into the lake. Luckily, there weren't any passing cars, and the lake was low, so the part where...

Gen III Hemi Swap into TJ Reference Guide & Swap Info

I never cared for gear-driven timing sets... they're loud AF and get annoying after a while. On a blown/juiced strip car, sure, no problem, but on a daily driver - and in particular something like a Jeep that already has enough whines, whirs, and whistles, I'll stick to a good ol' fashioned...

    Jeep Green LJ Build

Haha thanks... it was time for an update. My son actually made it using *gasps* AI to turn a photo that he took of me into it.

    Jeep Green LJ Build

Looks like a UD60, which aren't bad axles (generally) but certainly not up to par for handling 40"s + supercharged 6.2L + amped up "bruh" driving.

Gen III Hemi Swap into TJ Reference Guide & Swap Info

In case anyone is interested, I've put together a Gen III Hemi resource thread for JKUs, specifically with an 8HP70... https://wranglerjkforum.net/threads/jku-hemi-swap-reference-guide-swap-info.32731/#post-471557 I'm currently elbows deep into the swap at the moment, and from scrolling...

    CCD to PCI

96-98 = SCI analog 98.5-2001 = CCD (though 01 model year was not a smooth transition) 2002+ = PCI (not that some early 2002's were CCD still, especially in Ram 2500-3500 trucks) All of the above were old JTEC style ECMs. Dodge trucks didn't go to the NGC controller until the Hemi's in 2005. It...

Do It Myself or Let Them Try Again?

I know, that's why I do... :) But the Dana 44 rears aren't hammer in, so it never occurred to me to use some RTV around them, and in ~20 years of building and repairing rear axles, I never had both left and right wheel seals fail twice in a row.
